[Genshin Impact] Chapter 91: Instructions
🕑 Added 2024-02-28 17:51:41 +0000 UTCIn that case, it's not unreasonable for Ellin's father to be concerned.
"What a brave girl!" Oz said with a hint of admiration as he fluttered his night-colored wings.
"Wow, a talking night raven! Could you be Miss Fischl from another world and her raven companion?" Eileen looked at Oz and Fischl next to him with excitement.
Having a father who was once an adventurer, Eileen was familiar with the strange and interesting stories of Adventurers' Guild.
Like a poor fellow named Bennett, who always had a twisty and adventurous journey wherever he went.
And then there was Fischl, a quirky girl who insisted she was from another world called the Immernachtreich, always followed by a night-colored raven. She was an enviable Vision holder that even her father admired.
"Hmph hmph~! This imperial princess knew her fame had already spread across the Teyvat continent. One day the entire continent will bow before my might!"
Fischl changed her pose, crossing her arms over her black-webbed undershirt on her abdomen.
"..."
Ellin gave an expression that seemed to say she didn't know how to respond. As expected Fischl was quite an eccentric girl. She selectively ignored what Fischl just said.
Then Ellin put her hands together and looked at the two with slight anticipation, requesting:
"Miss Fischl, Mr. Nolan, you're both powerful adventurers, right? Can you take me adventuring outside to gain some experience? If I go with you, Dad will definitely agree!
"Please rest assured, I won't let you help me for nothing. Consider this a commission. I'll give you 20,000 to 30,000 Mora I've saved up as a commission fee!"
"Oh? Do you want to go on an adventure with us? Hmm..." Fischl touched her fair chin with her fingers, pondering slightly.
She wasn't too busy lately, so there shouldn't be a problem bringing someone along on an adventure.
However, Fischl turned her gaze to Nolan and said, "My attendant, what do you think?"
"Yes, of course, there is no problem!"
Nolan was originally going to the library to return books and prepare to take on a commission. However, he happened to run into Fischl and became interested in learning her archery, which delayed him a bit.
Now, Eileen's request was simply to take her on an adventure in the wilderness, which meant earning an extra commission fee, something he was happy to do.
Twenty to thirty thousand Mora, might not be much for two people, but it was equivalent to a day's wages for an ordinary person.
"Really? That's great!" Ellin jumped up happily. "I'll go tell my dad now. Let's meet up at the Adventurer's Guild?"
Although her dad would likely agree, she still wanted to go back and let him know for peace of mind.
"Well, that works out perfectly. We can also select a suitable commission at the Adventurers' Guild." Nolan nodded.
...
Mondstadt City, Adventurers' Guild.
After Eileen had just come to the training yard and bounced back excitedly, Nolan, Fischl, and Oz arrived at the reception of the Adventurers' Guild.
Katheryne, dressed in a maid-style dress, clasped her hands in front of her abdomen and gracefully smiled, saying, "Ad astra abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild!"
"We meet again, Miss Katheryne. Are there any urgent commissions today?" Nolan greeted her with a smile and asked.
"Is Mr. Adventurer preparing to go on an adventure with Miss Fischl...? Well, in that case, there are a few ruin guards roaming around over at the Brightcrown Canyon area, with your strength you should be able to handle them easily!"
Katheryne looked at the two and said after a moment of thought.
"Ruin Guards?"
Nolan was somewhat interested, but taking Ellin with them might be too dangerous. After all, she was there for training, not for fighting.
If they were to handle the Ruin Guards themselves while Ellin watched from the sidelines, it wouldn't be very involving for her, which wouldn't be fair considering the commission fee they would receive.
Moreover, it was she had painstakingly saved up from her allowance.
"Miss Katheryne, today we're bringing along a newbie with little experience to adventure with us. We hope to take on a commission that's somewhat challenging but not too difficult."
Nolan explained after pondering for a while.
"I see. Mr. Adventurer, you haven't been registered with the guild for long, but I didn't expect you to progress so quickly that you're already taking a newbie with you on adventures!" Katherine said somewhat sentimentally.
"Haha, Miss Katheryne is joking. I'm still far behind compared to the other seasoned adventurers,"
Nolan humbly said with some embarrassment.
"Mr. Adventurer's outstanding performances recently have already spread within the Adventurers' Guild. I believe you'll soon become a somewhat famous adventurer."
Katherine revealed an elegant smile, then with a serious expression continued:
"We just received word that some goods being transported by a survey team were robbed by a group of Hilichurls on the beach near Starfell Valley. They even stole the transport hot air balloon.
"Since Miss Fischl has excellent investigative abilities, I'm sure she can easily locate the Hilichurls. So, how about taking on this commission?"
After hearing Katherine's words, Nolan nodded slightly.
This commission seemed suitable for them. Weaker ordinary Hilichurls were no match for Ellin, making it perfect for her to gain experience.
And with him and Fischl there, they could prevent any unexpected situations.
"This princess also thinks there is no issue. Let's take this commission then!"
Fischl, with her golden hair cascading down, nodded slightly in agreement.
After a while, Nolan saw Ellin arrive at the Adventurers' Guild with an adventuring backpack, followed by a middle-aged bearded man.
"Hehe, sorry to keep you waiting." Ellin chuckled and said. Then looking at the middle-aged man she continued, "This is my dad. He's a bit of a worrywart and insisted on coming to see me off."
"Nice to meet you!" Nolan greeted politely.
"Oh my! Mister Herman, so Ellin is your daughter!" The night raven Oz exclaimed in surprise.
Fischl and Oz were a bit acquainted with him from the Adventurers' Guild.
"Ahem, hello to you all." Herman coughed awkwardly and scratched his head. "So uh, Eileen insisted on going out for some field experience. I really couldn't dissuade her, so please take good care of her!"
He trusted Fischl, the eccentric Vision holder, especially with the reliable Oz by her side.
As for that young man from Liyue...
Herman looked at Nolan and, relying on his adventurer's intuition, he could sense that this young man was not weak!
