[Genshin Impact] Chapter 90: Ellin Who Wants To Go On An Adventure
🕑 Added 2024-02-27 18:55:36 +0000 UTCKnights of Favonius headquarters, training ground at the back.
At this time, besides Nolan and his companions, there were also several young Mondstadt knights who were unfamiliar to them, practicing in the morning.
Wearing metal armor, they clashed their wooden training swords fiercely against each other.
Nolan, relying on his insight into a max-leveled swordsmanship skill, could see many flaws in their swordsmanship application in combat.
In his opinion, this was a problem of not mastering the basics well enough.
Nolan wanted to give them some guidance, but he thought as just an ordinary adventurer, it wasn't necessary to attract too much attention.
The training ground was spacious enough, and Nolan and Fischl found a wooden target to begin their archery training.
Mainly Fischl taught him her Sin-Purging Arrow, while Nolan studied diligently.
Fischl wasn't very good at explaining and imparting her experience, so she could only hold her bow and arrow and shoot at the target repeatedly in her own way, letting Nolan follow her movements.
If she noticed any mistakes in his movements, Fischl would correct them personally.
Thanks to Nolan's high-level archery skills, along with his Heightened Learning talent, he quickly grasped the basics of Sin-Purging Arrow.
[Comprehended Skill: Sin-Purging Arrow]
As the character panel notification popped up, his mastery of max-level archery also let him discern some minor shortcomings in "Sin-Purging Arrow" that could stand some refinement.

Nolan looked at the information listed on the character panel and smirked. Whether it was a human or a monster of the same level, few had mastered as many skills as he had, and in such depth, right?
"As expected of Sir Nolan, to grasp Miss's Sin-Purging Arrow that took her long practice just to initially learn, and do so with such ease!"
The Night Raven Oz stood on the wooden stump beside him. This was a retired famous adventurer named Herman who brought it back from the wild hilichurl camp, specifically for his daughter Ellin to practice swordsmanship.
Speaking of which, that diligent girl didn't seem to have come by to train today.
"Hmph! It barely reaches one ten-millionth, no, one hundred millionth of this Princess's peak proficiency!"
Fischl's sleeved arms gently folded beneath her chest, accentuating the soft curves tightly wrapped by her bodysuit under the short skirt into fuller, rounder swells.
Gazing at the somewhat stubborn little Amy, Nolan smiled and said:
"Your Highness, I've just gained some new insight into 'Sin-Purging Arrow'. May I share it with you?"
Since his "Sin-Purging Arrow" was learned from Fischl, the shortcomings he noticed would naturally apply to Fischl's version as well, given her hands-on tutelage.
"What?!"
Fischl's emerald eyes widened slightly, her soft lips parting in surprise.
He dared say her "Sin-Purging Arrow" had shortcomings when he had just started learning?
"Oh my, Miss Fischl, Sir Nolan's insight is unlikely to be mistaken. After all, you've been engrossed in Liyue's chivalric novels lately, somewhat neglecting practice!"
Night Raven Oz bluntly pointed out the recent decline in his young mistress's behavior.
"Oz!" Fischl's face puffed up angrily as she shot him an annoyed glare. "This Princess was conducting research work to expand the Evernight Kingdom!"
With a proud lift of her fair chin, she turned to Nolan and said, "Hmph~ Since the reliable attendant has improvement suggestions to offer, let's hear them!"
Though she looked nonchalant on the surface, she was a little concerned about her "Sin-Purging Arrow".
Next, their roles reversed, with Nolan using his max level archery experience to instruct Fischl on how to refine her "Sin-Purging Arrow" technique.
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 330 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.6 (440/600)]
After a while, the young Mondstadt knights practicing here also finished their morning exercises and left. Under Nolan's guidance, Fischl gained a new understanding of her "Sin-Purging Arrow".
This also earned him quite a bit of affection, thanks in part to his speciality as a "Maiden Savior," which made it easier for girls to develop feelings for him.
This trait didn't forcibly make others develop affection; it was more like an amplifier for attracting attention.
When Nolan's actions could originally elicit a girl's affection, it slightly amplified the "sparkle" that attracted affection.
This better stirred the heart, achieving the effect of gaining more affection.
"Hmph~ It was quite simple, nothing extraordinary!"
The brilliant sunlight on Fischl's golden hair made it shine even more radiantly. She lightly panted, using her fair hand to wipe away the slight sweat on her forehead.
"As expected of the Princess of Condemnation."
Seeing the boastful Fischl, Nolan smiled gently. Of course, it was simple - her original skills with "Sin-Purging Arrow" were already quite deep, just needing slight adjustments in some flawed areas of application.
"Miss, your stance with the bow just now indeed gave a more fluid feeling," Night Raven Oz nodded in agreement.
The praises from Nolan and Oz made Fischl stand with her hands on her hips, raising her head proudly, while the gentle breeze lightly swayed the hem of her black-purple skirt.
"Huh? Nolan, is that you? Long time no see!"
Ellin, wooden sword in hand, walked into the training grounds and was surprised to see the Liyue youth who had learned swordsmanship from Captain Eula some time ago here again.
"Ah, Miss Ellin. I was also wondering earlier why I didn't see you diligently training here as usual!"
Nolan waved politely and greeted her with a smile.
Hearing Nolan's words, Ellin looked a bit downcast and glanced at the ground as she said:
"Actually, today I wanted to go on an adventure in the wild, but Dad said my strength is still too weak, and he can't spare the time to take me, but he also has work and can't take me.
But I think just practicing hard is not enough for growth. In order to pass the knight selection, I feel I must have a real experience!"
Nolan nodded. He understood Ellin's urgent desire to improve. Generally speaking, going into the wilderness was fine with some caution.
After all, many rookie adventurers are not as strong as Ellin, yet they still venture out.
However, they rarely go alone. They either have seniors to guide them or travel in groups, able to watch each other's back.
