[Genshin Impact] Chapter 89: Impressive Acting Skill
🕑 Added 2024-02-26 18:10:59 +0000 UTCNolan was somewhat stunned as he looked through the snowy shoulder of Little Amy and the golden long hair, gazing at the purple magic circle that appeared behind her, with faint silent lightning flickering on it.
A witch wearing a deep blue-violet pointed hat stepped forth, her chestnut hair bound to the left side with a rose hairpin, the tips caressing the fair skin of her chest. A darkly smiling witch approached with a certain ominous air.
Some sort of spatial transfer magic? Nolan thought with a tinge of envy.
If he could also use this kind of skill, he wouldn't need to worry too much no matter what danger he encountered.
In the original game's story, quite a few exhibited spatial transfer abilities, like the Astrologist Mona during the "Unreconciled Stars" event storyline.
She was able to rapidly teleport herself and others to a far distance upon the sudden appearance of the Fatui's "Skirmisher" enforcers.
Ningguang, one of the Liyue Seven Fortunes, also demonstrated the ability to instantly appear in mid-air during a story cutscene.
So for the immensely powerful Witch of Purple Roses Lisa to achieve this came as no surprise to Nolan.
These spatial transfer abilities should be an advanced application of their elemental power combined with magic or fairy techniques.
An ordinary Vision bearer without relevant knowledge would probably be unable to learn it.
As for Nolan, who had yet to grasp any elemental power, he seemed to lack even the qualifications to study it.
"Miss..."
The Night Raven Oz also looked behind Fischl and reminded slightly.
At this moment, Fischl seemed to realize something, her eyes widened slightly, and she turned her head slowly, somewhat stiffly.
Leaning forward with her hands braced on the table's edge, the off-shoulder minidress revealing her black mesh bodysuit created an alluring curve from chest to abdomen.
"The... Librarian Witch..." Fischl's speech grew slightly unsteady as she looked at the dangerous expression on Lisa's face.
She quickly turned her whole body, inadvertently taking a step back until her rear brushed against the table edge, making her dress sway.
"Oh my~ Sweet little Fischl, what were you two discussing so fervently?"
Lisa narrowed her eyes, the corners of her lips slightly upturned. She approached step-by-step, her long black stockings clinging enticingly.
This is bad... Nolan felt a pang of nervous concern for Fischl, his heart rate quickening.
With nowhere to retreat, the Princess let out a terrified "Yah!" as she eyed Lisa's impending "dark clutches".
With hands holding her head, she turned to the side, her body trembling slightly, as if preparing to face the judgment of the impending thunderstorm.
Lisa gently pinched Fischl's soft, fair cheek with her black-gloved right hand and smiled as she caressed it.
"—Nngh..." The Princess let out a muffled whimper.
In Lisa's eyes, the adorable little Fischl was a good child who loved fantasy novels, always returned books three days early, and handled them with great care.
Normally she read quietly in the library without disturbing others. This uncharacteristic loudness must have resulted from some other cause.
Lisa continued fondling Fischl's plump cheeks as she turned her gaze toward Nolan.
Nolan's expression, which was originally somewhat amused, suddenly stopped, and he said somewhat uncertainly, "Um, Miss Lisa, I'm pretty sure I haven't made any loud noises."
"Oh my~ Little Adventurer, conversations need someone to converse with to be completed, or are you saying little Fischl wasn't speaking with you?"
Lisa released Fischl's face, the corners of her mouth curling into a slight smile before sparks danced at her fingertips.
"Then allow me to give you some special electro-resistance training!"
"Um, Miss Lisa, there's really no need to go to so much trouble..." Nolan smiled somewhat reluctantly.
"It's a gesture of goodwill from your big sis. You can't refuse, you know~"
Lisa's emerald eyes shone with amusement as her electrified fingertips lightly caressed Nolan's face.
Instantly, a tingling, numb sensation of being electrocuted spread from his face throughout his body.
Nolan made an indescribable expression. It didn't really hurt - unexpectedly, it even felt rather pleasant.
However, Nolan soon realized that Lisa had misjudged his physical endurance when she electrocuted him.
Although it wasn't obvious on the surface, Nolan's physique was quite strong, after all, he had undergone many upgrades and enhancements.
Lisa was obviously just jokingly reprimanding him, so she wouldn't actually harm him, so she would definitely control the intensity, resulting in Nolan feeling neither pain nor discomfort, and even feeling a bit comfortable.
Recognizing this, Nolan deliberately overacted being tormented, lest Lisa notices the irregularity and increase her electro-discharge.
After a while, Lisa released Nolan. She crossed her snow-white arms over her chest and looked somewhat amusedly at Nolan who was still performing:
"Really~ If you want to deceive me, Little Adventurer, your acting skills need to improve a bit more~"
Fischl, covering her reddened cheeks that were rubbed, couldn't help but raise her head and laugh softly, suppressing her voice very low and said:
"My loyal Attendant, this Princess just discovered your potential to become a comedic actor for the first time!"
"Sir Nolan's expressions were quite apt. He simply forgot to stop performing," Oz the Raven offered a fairly balanced critique.
Nolan blushed slightly, but he had experience dealing with embarrassing situations like this, so as long as he remained calm, it was fine.
"Hmph~ I'll let you both off this time, but don't let it happen again!"
The shadows beside the bookshelf briefly caressed Lisa's calves, making the black stockings seem even darker before she used teleportation magic to return to the reception desk upstairs.
Nolan and Fischl glanced at each other, both breathing a sigh of relief.
Next, Nolan first came to Lisa's place to register the borrowing of "Rhein Single-Handed Swordsmanship," and was then reminded to return the book on time.
He and Fischl, who also registered to borrow books, came to the training ground behind the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
Indeed, as the great Princess of Verurteilung, she had readily permitted her most trusted attendant's request to learn the "Sin-Purging Arrow".
Speaking of which, their activities today had been rather similar.
In the morning, they had both gone to the Adventurer's Guild to collect rewards for clearing the petrified ancient tree in the secret realm, then brought back finished books to return to the library.
The biggest difference was:
Fischl had proactively returned her book, while Nolan had been compelled to, worried about further punishment from Lisa.
It was an immediate distinction of their attitudes.
In this regard, Nolan lost out completely. No wonder Lisa only fondled Fischl's cheek while actually zapping him!
