[Superman] Chapter 158: The Figure Radiating Blue Light
🕑 Added 2024-06-22 16:07:56 +0000 UTC"He reversed time at the cost of his own life?"
Throughout the universe, almost no one could detect that the original flow of time had just been forcibly reversed by the Flash, at the expense of his life.
But outside the universe, Peter, who was using his hands to separate the universes, could sense the changes in the timeline within.
"As expected, when things go well, you rely on Superman; in adversity, it's Batman; and in desperation, it's the Flash..."
At this moment, Peter couldn't help but sigh.
Then he stopped paying attention to the scenes within the universe, focusing on completely separating the two universes.
Meanwhile, the realities of the two universes were gradually being separated by Peter's power.
The two merging universes no longer overlapped in reality.
"However, now it is time to separate these two universes completely!"
Peter's expression was serious. The effort just spent on separating the overlapping realities of the universes had been more draining on his energy.
But now, to truly separate the universes, it required an incredibly powerful force to push the two mutually attractive universes away from each other.
These two universes, at this moment, were like two immensely gravitational magnets, with an enormous pull between them.
And to separate them, it required a force several times stronger.
At this moment, even Peter had to take it seriously.
After all, this represented two universes.
With a serious expression, Peter slowly extended his hands, each holding a sphere representing a universe, and gradually applied force.
Under Peter's immensely powerful strength, the two tightly connected, mutually attractive universes began to separate at this moment.
Finally, a tiny gap appeared between the two universes.
Sizzle!
However, just as the barely visible gap appeared between the two universes.
A terrifying force of attraction suddenly emerged between them.
On the semi-transparent spheres of the universes, powerful energies surged like electric currents, sweeping across the entire universes.
Two different colored energies stirred up energy waves on the semi-transparent universe spheres.
Eventually, they converged at the closest points between the universes, the energy began to form into solid matter, continually extending.
Ultimately, they converged in the gap between the separating universes.
Then, as the energies from both universes made contact, they began to intertwine.
The energy gradually transformed, forming a twisted, braided shape, creating an energy chain that tightly bound the two universes together.
"Hmph, break apart!"
Peter had anticipated this immense force of attraction.
His eyes gradually steeled, and the strength in his hands continuously increased!
Crackling...
As Peter unleashed power beyond the level of a single universe, the energy linking the two universes together was instantly strained like a chain being pulled by two great forces, causing a universe-wide tremor.
"Damn it! What's happening? Isn't it over yet?"
At this moment, whether it was the heroes of the Marvel Universe, who were about to celebrate the end of the crisis, or the people who had returned to the DC Universe and were mourning the Flash's death, they all felt the universe-level tremor instantly.
Their expressions changed dramatically.
After all, this intense shaking was far more terrifying than the recent universe separation, as if the end of the universe was happening.
"Perhaps, that was just the beginning, and now, this is the true critical moment of the universe separation!"
...
At this moment, Peter paid no attention to the catastrophic scenes unfolding in the universe itself.
Instead, he carefully observed within the energy chain forming between the two universes, which were already on the brink of collapse, a hint of dark energy gradually emerged.
"It seems that this universe invasion event is no coincidence!"
Although he had suspected it earlier, at this moment, while Peter was separating the two universes, he distinctly felt a special force between them hindering his efforts to completely separate them.
And it was precisely this inexplicable force that allowed two universes, which would never have interacted otherwise, to cross the barriers of omnipotent universes, collide, and merge together.
"Perhaps this universe merging event is related to the guy who created the Battle Realm universe!"
Feeling the strange power that was continuously strengthening the connection between the two universes, Peter suddenly recalled the recent multiverse event.
The event where countless universe strongmen were gathered together and the winners were exiled to his own universe.
Perhaps it was related to this sudden event.
"However, no matter who you are, I will not allow your plan to succeed!"
But at this moment, Peter paid no mind to any conspiracies, as he gradually unleashed even greater power.
A fiery red flame appeared over his enormous hands.
Even in the universe's void where no burning substances existed, the power of the phoenix, representing destruction and rebirth, burned fiercely.
The dazzling flames of the void completely enveloped the two universes.
If Peter wished, he could completely incinerate the realities of the two universes with these flames, until they were completely extinguished.
However, at this moment, he naturally wouldn't do such a thing.
Under the blazing fire, countless lives in the realities of the two universes saw the terrifying flames looming over the end of the universe.
"Ah, what is happening? Is this the end of the universe?"
Countless people were filled with immense fear, because at this moment, it felt like the true end of the universe was imminent.
Meanwhile, outside the universe.
As Peter controlled it, the blazing flames of the phoenix gradually contracted on the spheres of the universes.
They finally rapidly converged at the centers closest to the two universes.
In the next moment, the blazing flames surged along the energy chain linking the two universes.
Originally bolstered by the dark force, which had multiplied countless times, the immense gravitational chain linking the two universes was instantly burned by the flames of the phoenix.
That dark force couldn't withstand the burning power of the phoenix at this moment.
Almost instantly, it was completely burnt to ashes!
Crack!
Accompanied by a resounding roar echoing through the universe, the power linking the two universes shattered at this moment.
Then, without hesitation, Peter used both hands to push each universe towards opposite ends.
With immense power supporting him, the two universes finally completely separated, drifting apart in the universe's void.
...
However, the matter did not come to a complete end at this moment.
As the two universes completely separated in an instant.
Under Peter's gaze, the sphere representing the DC Universe.
Actually began to gradually fade, as if transforming from a tangible entity to an untouchable void.
In almost an instant, that universe became extremely dim, nearly in a completely transparent state.
Peter waved his arm to touch it, but it passed through as if traversing.
As if that universe had long ceased to be a physical state, merely a shadow of a universe.
"Is this... entering an abnormal dimensional channel?"
However, Peter discovered that it was not originally a shadow, but a genuine momentary universe.
It's just that now, it seemed to have entered a special dimensional space, unreachable.
And in the blink of an eye, that universe completely vanished into the void of the multiverse, as if it had never appeared.
"It seems that this matter is not completely over!"
Watching the universe that suddenly appeared and now vanished in this moment,
Peter couldn't help but speculate inwardly.
Immediately, Peter's gaze turned to the vast void of the multiverse around him.
In a vast expanse of nothingness, there were countless spheres representing individual universes.
In the dark void, faint glimmers flickered like distant stars.
Everything appeared extremely harmonious and tranquil.
As if this moment were infinite eternity!
The next moment, Peter withdrew his gaze, his enormous form began to shrink continuously until it returned to normal size. Then, he crossed the barriers of the universe once again and returned to his own universe.
...
Meanwhile,
In a universe that was completely different from the Marvel Universe, yet similar in some ways.
Hundreds of universes were tightly arranged together, forming a unique multiverse.
Suddenly, a sphere representing a universe appeared abruptly in the vast void of this multiverse.
Though its appearance was sudden, it seemed as if it should have been there all along.
The universe, which had been rather dim, gradually brightened after its sudden appearance, transitioning from nothingness to gradually returning to normal.
With the arrival of this universe, the entire multiverse seemed to become truly complete in this moment.
"It seems that the first step of the plan has failed!"
Suddenly, a voice echoed in this deserted void.
In the next moment, a figure instantly appeared in front of this newly emerged universe.
His gaze fixed firmly on this universe before him, his eyes showing a hint of disappointment.
"Why hasn't the guy I made a deal with shown up..."
The enormous figure turned slowly, sharp eyes seeming to penetrate endless voids, even piercing through the barriers representing the Almighty Universe to see the reality of another Almighty Universe.
In his eyes, there was a hint of puzzlement and a trace of anger at being stood up.
"Hmph, do you think that I alone am incapable of completing my grand plan?"
The anger on his face disappeared in the next moment, replaced by a strong sense of confidence.
"Since you don't cherish this rare opportunity, I will complete this plan alone."
"I will use my wisdom and power to completely unveil the true mysteries of the universe!"
"At that time, I will become the master of the infinite universe, even the Source Wall cannot stop my plan..."
Just as this mysterious individual, filled with supreme confidence, was preparing to accomplish his grand plan,
It seemed as though he sensed something and his expression changed slightly.
Then, without hesitation, he disappeared from the spot as if he had never appeared at all.
In the moment of his disappearance, a figure suddenly shot out from within the infinite individual universes.
Pale blue skin emitting a faint glow.
Drifting amidst the void of the universe, his face also bathed in a gentle blue light, showing almost no emotion.
With his serene expression and his striking bald head, he resembled a sage who had transcended the mundane world.
His gaze lingered briefly on the spot where the mysterious person had vanished just now.
Then, he turned his gaze towards the universe that had suddenly appeared here.
His emotionless eyes stared at this newly emerged universe, and in the next moment, countless images flashed through his mind.
Familiar yet unfamiliar scenes kept revolving in his mind, as if he was watching a movie that encompassed the entire history of the universe.
Suddenly, at a certain moment, those continuously playing future scenes vanished completely in an instant, turning into endless darkness.
As if it represented destruction, symbolizing that this universe would eventually become a silent void.
"Is this universe destined for destruction, just like the universe I belong to?"
Through the continuous emergence of future images, he had thoroughly surveyed this universe, from all its processes to its future until its destruction.
"No, endless darkness can represent annihilation and destruction."
"But it can also represent infinite hope."
"In the end, it depends on how the people in this universe choose."
"Perhaps, I should give them a chance to choose their future..."
With this thought, the figure emitting a blue glow drifted slowly towards this uncertain future universe.
Then, he merged into it, disappearing completely from view.
...
Next moment, within the DC universe that had just separated from the Marvel Universe, a blue figure emerged.
The figure flickered as if traversing endless space, instantly arriving above the Earth emitting a faint blue glow.
"What a beautiful planet, yet destined to become a scene of desolation and silence in the future..."
He reached out his hand and gently brushed over the Earth before him.
The Earth, originally emitting a beautiful blue glow, suddenly transformed into a lifeless sphere, fractured and revealing a dim star core, presenting a scene of utter desolation.
This was the future scene of this planet, its birthplace destined for destruction, yet his face showed no emotion.
As if he had already lost all feelings.
Next, his outstretched hand passed over the planet again, restoring its beautiful appearance.
Simultaneously, his figure vanished and reappeared on the Earth, gazing at the crowd mourning, debating, and mocking the sacrifice of the Flash, or rather, the heroes who protected this planet.
"Bruce, even though we founded the League together, you haven't changed at all."
"To achieve your goals, you're willing to sacrifice any one of us!"
The turmoil in the universe returned to silence, yet Clark's gaze remained fixed on Batman.
He knew that at that moment, they might not have had any other choice, but that wasn't a reason for Batman to watch the Flash's sacrifice without intervening.
"You're right, that includes myself..."
Batman didn't argue with Clark, but replied with unwavering determination.
"In that case, our alliance no longer needs to continue..."
Clark glanced at everyone present one last time before soaring into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.
"Arguments, anger, reason, sadness, hatred..."
"How familiar human emotions are, but unfortunately, I can no longer empathize with them now!"
The blue figure stood before everyone, quietly observing everything that had just transpired, yet no one noticed his presence, not even Superman who had just flown away.
In this moment, his eyes finally showed a slight fluctuation, as if reminiscing.
