[Superman] Chapter 150: Tony's Return, A Striking Encounter
🕑 Added 2024-06-15 05:55:54 +0000 UTC"F*ck!"
The sudden explosion caught Spider-Man off guard, despite his Spider-Sense warning him. He couldn't fully evade in time and had to shield his face with his arm, getting blasted and thrown into the air by the intense impact of the explosion.
At the same time, the smoke and dust from the explosion obscured his vision.
Suddenly, a figure darted out from the smoke, fists clenched, swiftly charging towards Spider-Man.
On the knuckles of the figure's gloves, a faint glow shimmered, as if gathering some form of energy.
Bang!
Spider-Man, enduring consecutive attacks, relied on his powerful physique to twist in midair, attempting to block the incoming punches.
However, his opponent's martial skills were extraordinarily refined.
The fist gathering energy turned out to be a feint, exposing a vulnerability in Spider-Man's defense.
The opponent immediately lifted their leg and kicked fiercely towards Spider-Man's abdomen.
The attack was so sudden and fierce that Spider-Man couldn't react in time and was sent flying.
He crashed into a lamppost behind him, then flew another dozen meters, rolling several times on the ground until he finally stopped against the wall of a building.
If it were an ordinary person, such a powerful attack would likely have resulted in death or severe injury.
Although Batman adhered to a no-kill policy, his actions against criminals were ruthless. It was these actions that had earned him the reputation of the Dark Knight in the chaotic streets of Gotham City.
"Damn, my back... it hurts!"
Spider-Man's robust physique allowed him to withstand such a powerful attack without being knocked out. He clutched his side, slowly getting up from the ground, cautiously eyeing the figure in front of him.
"Who are you?"
At this moment, Spider-Man finally took his opponent seriously. Although the opponent's physical abilities were inferior to his own, their calm intelligence and martial skills far exceeded those of an ordinary person.
"I am Batman!"
Under the moonlight, the figure's face was obscured, and the deep voice echoed slowly. Through the voice modulator beneath the mask, it exuded an inexplicable sense of authority and mystery, sending chills down Spider-Man's spine.
Before Spider-Man could respond, the shadow lurking in the darkness charged towards him again, seemingly intent on nothing short of total victory.
"In that case, I'm... Spider-Man!"
Spider-Man roared back, launching himself forward like a bullet, his speed almost comparable to a cannonball.
In an instant, the two figures converged.
Under the night sky, the dark figure did not hesitate to swing its fist.
"Hmm?"
But it found that its fist had not struck anything solid.
With calm thoughts that gave him superhuman reflexes, Batman immediately turned around and threw another punch behind him.
His reaction was timely; Spider-Man had already appeared behind him, using his webbing to propel himself into the air and kick towards Batman with both legs.
It seemed he intended to teach him what it felt like to be attacked from behind.
Bang!
Even though it was a hasty response, Batman's high-tech suit amplified his strength, and energy surged through his gauntlets, unleashing terrifying power far beyond that of a normal human.
However, even with Spider-Man's best efforts, he couldn't withstand the sudden onslaught of tens of tons of force, something an ordinary person could never hope to endure.
Accompanied by a thunderous collision,
Batman was forced back by the tremendous force, retreating several dozen steps before finally neutralizing Spider-Man's attack.
Before he could regain his stance, a web shot suddenly struck, wrapping around his arm with tremendous force and pulling him forward.
Swish!
A metallic sound cut through the air as a Batarang shot towards Spider-Man.
Not only did it sever the webbing directly, but it also shot towards Spider-Man's body.
This time, having learned from the previous exploding Batarang, Spider-Man didn't attempt to dodge with acrobatics. Instead, he used his webbing to grab a nearby metal sewer cover and held it up to block the incoming Batarang.
Realizing it didn't explode, he swung the heavy cover around like a meteor hammer, aiming it at Batman.
"This guy... has immense strength."
At this moment, even Batman couldn't help but marvel. This eccentric figure possessed strength that was tens of times greater than his own, surpassing human limits by far—a true anomaly.
Hmm!
The sewer cover spun like a projectile towards Batman.
Yet he managed to sidestep it at the last moment.
Bang!
Nevertheless, the immense force caused the sewer cover to fly dozens of meters away, embedding itself halfway into the wall of a nearby building.
It was a testament to the terrifying power at play.
"Heh heh, my bad, got a bit carried away!"
Seeing this, Spider-Man actually found it humorous, apologizing with a grin. Clearly, he hadn't yet unleashed his full strength.
"Hmph, I can't afford to keep tangling with this guy. I need to figure out what's going on right now!"
Batman thought calmly, raising his hand and pressing several buttons on his forearm.
"Hey bro, are you going to summon a few sets of Iron Man-like robots with a few buttons like Iron Man?" Spider-Man looked at Batman's actions with a somewhat comical expression, as if he were genuinely afraid.
However, seconds later, everything seemed back to normal.
"Well, almost forgot, there's no Iron Man in this universe!"
Feeling that the joke was a bit too cold, Spider-Man slowly suppressed his playful banter, preparing to deal decisively with the mysterious figure in front of him.
Boom!
Suddenly, the roar of a car engine erupted.
Spider-Man's Spider-Sense immediately reacted.
Using his webbing's strength, he reversed in midair several times. As the Batmobile passed beneath him, he finally landed.
Swoosh...
The sound of screeching brakes and tires skidding intertwined.
The Batmobile drifted on the ground, executing a sharp turn.
As the door swung open, it came to a stop right next to Batman.
Without hesitation, Batman entered the vehicle and closed the door.
"Hey, that's a hit and run!"
Seeing Batman's intent to flee, Spider-Man quickly positioned himself in front of the Batmobile to block his way.
"Hmph, let me show you Wayne Tech!"
Batman coldly eyed the figure in front of him and pressed a special button.
Clank… clank… KA-CHUNK!
"Holy shit, what is this monster? Are robots invading Earth now?"
Right before Spider-Man's eyes, the sleek Batmobile transformed like a Transformer, rapidly reconfiguring into an incredibly cool-looking aircraft.
With a burst of intense flames from its engine, the aircraft sped forward.
"Damn it!"
Faced with this unexpected situation, Spider-Man had no way to stop it. He ducked to avoid the aircraft.
Zoom!
The aircraft soared into the night sky, ascending rapidly.
As it passed over Spider-Man's head...
"Is this guy a hidden alien spy on Earth?"
Gritting his teeth, Spider-Man realized the situation was far more complex than he initially thought.
Without hesitation, he shot a web, attaching it to the ascending aircraft.
"Holy Shit!!!"
With a scream, he was whisked up into the sky.
...
"Mr. Wayne, we have a trespasser behind us!"
Wayne Tech was still reliable, even in this unfamiliar universe, as its AI continued to function normally.
"This lunatic!"
Wayne, realizing Spider-Man had hitched a ride into the sky with him, couldn't help but curse under his breath.
He pressed a button.
Suddenly, two mechanical arms extended from the aircraft, grabbing Spider-Man, who had climbed onto the underside of the aircraft via his web, and restraining him.
"Damn, where is this place?"
Now airborne, Batman realized he was in a completely unfamiliar city.
The once towering Wayne Enterprises building in Gotham was now gone, replaced by a cityscape of strange buildings.
"Initiate a network breach of this city, find out what's happening!"
Sensing the gravity of the situation, Wayne commanded the AI.
"Initiating breach… please wait…"
The AI's voice made Batman feel a twinge of tension.
"Network breach failed!"
"What? How is that possible?"
Batman found it hard to believe. Though the AI in his aircraft was a simple weak AI, not the powerful one in the Justice League's Watchtower, it should have easily breached a city's network.
"Hey, buddy, hacking a city's network isn't exactly a commendable act."
"And your AI seems a bit outdated…"
"Alright, it's not completely useless; it does have some merit…"
Suddenly, as Batman pondered the failed breach, his aircraft's AI was hacked.
An arrogant voice rang through the AI, making Batman want to strangle the speaker through the network.
"Damn it, who are you?"
Batman asked gravely.
"Who am I? Heh, start cheering, your hero is back!"
This time, the voice wasn't just in the aircraft. Throughout New York City, on TVs, radios, and even on phones, the same narcissistic and annoying voice echoed.
At the same time, Batman noticed a golden portal appear in the distance.
A figure clad in a special metallic suit flew out, tracing a splendid path across the sky like a meteor.
The figure rapidly approached Batman's aircraft.
"Sir, I must remind you that disturbing others on Christmas Eve is impolite…"
"OK, OK, I was just a bit excited!"
Tony Stark, who had severely damaged his soul using magic to harness the power of the Hell dimension, had been recuperating in Kamar-Taj, learning mystical arts under the Ancient One to heal his soul.
Now fully recovered, he returned only to face yet another cosmic invasion.
"Hmph, trying to hijack my aircraft!"
Batman could feel his aircraft being taken over by another powerful AI, slowing it down.
As the metallic figure approached, Batman remained calm, seemingly giving up resistance.
"The Ancient One made this event sound so serious, but it's much simpler than the last time!"
Tony, in his suit, approached the hovering aircraft, mocking the black-clad figure inside.
Suddenly, Batman pressed a button.
The AI-controlled systems were overridden, switching to manual control.
The aircraft's engines roared under Batman's command, accelerating rapidly towards the narcissistic figure.
Bang!
"Hmph, no one told you that your arrogance makes you a bit punchable?"
Caught off guard, Tony was hit by the speeding aircraft, sent tumbling through the air.
After flipping twice, he regained control.
"Damn it, I was careless!"
Tony cursed his mistake, immediately chasing after the aircraft in his suit.
…
"It seems that this is no longer my original universe!"
"What exactly happened before?"
While maneuvering the jet swiftly through the sky, Batman calmly pondered everything he had encountered.
Undoubtedly, the unfamiliar people, the unfamiliar city, and that self-proclaimed hero who was exceedingly narcissistic and annoying—these unfamiliar signs all indicated that Batman had arrived in a strange world or universe.
This place had a reality completely different from what he knew. However, the humans here seemed not much different from those in his own universe, and the technology also appeared to share many similarities.
"Shit, this world has not only technology but also magic!"
While Batman was deep in thought, a massive golden halo suddenly appeared in front of his jet.
He had no time to react as he passed through the halo, only to find a familiar figure appearing ahead.
At the same time, as that person raised an arm and performed a series of intricate movements, several golden energy barriers suddenly appeared around the jet, completely enclosing it.
"No choice then!"
Without hesitation, Batman activated the jet's weapons, attempting to break through the energy barriers ahead.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
However, despite countless bullets spraying and sparking, they did not inflict significant damage.
Without any hesitation, Batman activated more powerful weapons.
A missile soared through the air and instantly struck the barrier ahead.
Crack!
Finally, the barrier couldn't withstand the missile's impact, shattered, and dispersed like stardust.
"Damn!"
Seeing this scene, Tony, against all odds, rushed towards the jet about to break out of the encirclement.
Boom!
The jet collided with the steel battleship, erupting with a massive burst of energy.
Both began plummeting towards the ground.
However, Tony quickly recovered and slowly hovered in mid-air.
"Ah! Help!"
However, they seemed to have forgotten that beneath the jet, Spider-Man was being controlled by mechanical arms.
Hum!
Just as Tony prepared to activate his battle armor and go to Spider-Man's aid...
A glider, shimmering with green light, appeared in the sky, rushing towards the falling jet.
The next moment, under the green glow, seemingly enlarged arms and palms suddenly appeared in the sky, abruptly catching the plummeting jet.
...
