[Superman] Chapter 146: The Twin Eyes Turn into a Singular Eye!
🕑 Added 2024-06-02 10:31:14 +0000 UTC"What? Who's there?"
Hearing the sudden voice, Ego's face was filled with astonishment.
The stellar eyes swiftly rotated, scanning the dark starry sky, trying to locate the direction from which the voice came.
"Fortunately, he arrived just in time!"
Meanwhile, on the other side, Magneto, who heard the voice, stopped fleeing and instantly relaxed.
Although he hadn't witnessed the power of this newcomer with his own eyes.
From the moment he arrived in this universe, he had personally felt the power of that guy.
Not to mention effortlessly defeating the current opponent, who drew energy from the stars, but at least he could confront him.
"Thank you for your efforts."
As Magneto gradually relaxed, a voice suddenly sounded in his ear.
"Superman, you finally came."
Supporting the injured and barely conscious Thor, Magneto slowly spoke to Peter, who had appeared beside them at some point.
"You take Thor back first. I'll handle this guy next!"
Peter glanced at the injured Thor, realizing his injuries were not fatal, and didn't say much, letting Magneto take him away first.
"Superman, be careful with this guy. His power source is quite strange..."
Before leaving, Magneto reminded Peter.
"Don't worry..."
Seeing Peter seeming confident, Magneto didn't linger any longer.
He knew that staying here wouldn't help Peter and might even become a burden.
In the next moment, Magneto, carrying the injured Thor, once again turned into a stream of light, flying towards the distant stars, where the Yondu' ship was waiting to pick them up.
At this moment, the twin starry eyes representing Ego had no time to care about the escape of Magneto and Thor.
The moment Peter appeared, he sensed a powerful force on him that even the current him had to treat with caution.
If Thor and Magneto's powers were like ants to Ego.
Then this sudden appearance was like the shining moon in the night sky...
No, the shining moon was not enough to describe its power. The terrifying energy within him could even rival the stars that illuminated the entire galaxy.
"Who are you? I don't remember... there being such a powerful existence in the universe?"
At this moment, even Ego, who boasted powers comparable to the gods of the universe, had to treat Peter with caution.
What made Ego even more puzzled was that, among the countless lives in the universe, he roamed among various intelligent civilizations on different planets, but he had never heard of such a powerful existence in the universe.
"Heh heh, haven't you heard? True powerhouse always make their entrance last!"
Peter looked at the gigantic Ego, slowly responding.
...
Of course, Peter wasn't waiting until the end just to show off and deal with Ego.
In fact, he appeared here entirely because not long ago, the Starjammers' ship returned to Earth.
At the same time, it brought some surprising news that even astonished Peter.
To save his adopted son, Star-Lord, Yondu disregarded his own safety and went to the core of Ego's planet to rescue him.
Although Yondu had a special affection for Star-Lord, which made his crew very jealous.
But for Yondu's safety, they decided to return to Earth, inform the captain, and hope that Peter, as the captain, could go and rescue Yondu and the others.
Peter didn't hesitate much.
He was already wondering why Magneto and Thor hadn't solved this matter yet.
He decided to personally investigate what unexpected circumstances had occurred.
As Peter boarded the ship and underwent dozens of space jumps, he finally arrived here.
But he didn't expect the situation to develop even more unexpectedly than he had anticipated.
"I didn't expect that Ego, who originally failed to complete his plan of devouring countless planets in the plot, could actually achieve this level in this universe."
At this moment, Peter looked at Ego, who cautiously stared back at him like a pair of eyes.
Even Peter couldn't help but sigh. In the infinite universe, truly anything was possible.
Originally, after encountering the true "Dad" in the plot, Star-Lord, who would have his life completely ended by the ancient celestial being Ego, broke the curse of fate at this moment. Not only did he successfully devour the divine power inherited from Star-Lord, but he also devoured countless planets, evolving his own strength to the level comparable to a deity.
The current Ego had already surpassed the limitations of a single universe. If it weren't for his desire to dominate and consume the reality of this universe,
By forging his own body with the universe, he probably would have long surpassed the barriers of the universe and gone to the endless multiverse.
"Could it be that the cause of all this is because I took out Thanos ahead of time, so Star-Lord no longer became the destiny of the universe but became an insignificant guy?"
At this moment, Peter couldn't help but have such wild thoughts. After all, in the original plot, wasn't Star-Lord's most "glorious" achievement just punching out the Avengers?......
......
"True powerhouse?"
Ego's humanized stellar eyes stared tightly at Peter, but he seemed to be hesitating about something.
His thoughts were constantly swirling.
"Damn it, although this guy looks like an ant that I can squash at will, the power within him shines like a star, making me cautious."
In fact, being able to survive since the birth of the universe.
In addition to Ego's increasingly powerful divine power, there is also the reason for his extremely cautious personality.
He could even wait for millions of years, just to fulfill his great plan of devouring the universe and becoming an eternal existence.
And now, even though his plan had succeeded and his own strength had greatly increased.
But facing Peter, his inner caution made him reluctant to be enemies with him.
At least, now was not the time to be enemies with him.
"Yes, as long as you give me some time to completely absorb and control the powerful divine power obtained from devouring countless planets, then I can easily crush this despicable guy."
Finally, Ego made up his mind.
Now he was more suitable to continue absorbing and controlling the divine power that he had acquired through great difficulty.
By then, fully mastering the divine power, he would be many times more powerful than he was now, and the entire universe would become his private possession.
Crushing such an insignificant guy like an ant was just a matter of course.
"Hmph, since you've stepped forward, I'll overlook the offenses of those damn guys against me and spare their lives."
"But, if your people dare to come bother me again, don't blame me for being merciless..."
A voice echoed in the universe, although it sounded imposing, it seemed a bit lacking in confidence.
And as he finished speaking, he directly turned around, the blue light shimmering, ready to leave.
It seemed more like fleeing than leaving.
"Wait..."
Suddenly, just as Ego was about to leave, Peter finally spoke up, his voice not loud, but even the massive body of Ego couldn't help but pause.
"What? Do you have something else to say?"
Ego manipulated his stellar eyes to turn back towards Peter, but the blue light shimmering around him didn't dissipate.
It seemed that he had already prepared to enter the spacetime channel and leave if the situation turned unfavorable.
"It's nothing major, it's just that my first mate seems to still be inside your body..."
Peter's voice was calm, as if he was just asking for something trivial from Ego.
"Oh? Your first mate?"
Ego was initially puzzled, but soon remembered the intense explosion that had occurred in his body before.
"You mean the guy who wanted to destroy my body? Hmph, if it weren't for you, I would have made him die in the most cruel way possible and become my nourishment!"
As Ego spoke harshly, he used his divine power to constantly circulate within the planet.
Soon, he found a small spacecraft.
At this moment, although the spacecraft was covered with countless large pits on the surface, as if it had been ravaged by a war.
But it was not completely destroyed. The body of the pilot inside was intact, but it was unknown whether he was still alive.
"Found him, I'll return him to you right away..."
Although this guy who wanted to destroy the source of his power was despicable, in Ego's view, it was difficult to extinguish his anger even if he was smashed into pieces.
But at this moment, in order not to fight against the guy in front of him, whose strength he couldn't grasp, he could only temporarily admit defeat.
"Hmph, once I fully control my divine power, I will crush you all personally and turn you into nourishment for my body..."
Ego was thinking angrily, but he didn't expect that Peter in front of him would slowly speak up.
"No need, I'd rather take him back from within your body myself..."
"But before that, I might have to completely crush your body—!"
Suddenly, Peter's tone became somewhat cold, making people feel chilled.
Especially Ego, who was stunned for a moment because of Peter's words.
"This damn guy dares to disregard me like this!"
The next moment, Ego also spoke angrily.
Like an angry deity, the entire universe space trembled violently.
Countless cracks in the universe emerged around him, causing a terrifying cosmic storm to rage in the surrounding void.
At the same time, his stellar eyes, shimmering with blue light, instantly turned into two dazzling blue beams.
Powerful energy pierced through the cosmic void, annihilating everything in its path, directly shooting towards Peter's body.
......
"Good thing you just completed your plan, otherwise, with your previous strength, I wouldn't even be interested in taking action."
At this moment, Ego didn't give Peter the same feeling as the Supreme Celestial he had just battled.
However, in this universe, Ego's current power was almost at the top tier.
After all, in the entire universe, there were only a few who could surpass the limitations of individual universes.
And Ego had the potential to evolve into a powerful being across multiple universes.
Given enough time, perhaps there would be someone like the Supreme Celestial in this universe.
"But unfortunately, he won't wait for that moment!"
Facing Ego's attack, Peter remained unchanged.
Before the two energy beams hit him, he just lightly punched out.
Crack!
Instantly, the fabric of reality in the universe shattered under his suppressed force.
Everything in front of him seemed to instantly turn into nothingness.
Along with the surging energy beams, they were completely annihilated in the universe.
"Damn, this is impossible!"
Ego's originally huge stellar eyes widened even more after seeing the scene before him.
Even though he had already been wary of Peter's strength.
But he had never imagined that this guy could destroy the reality of the universe with just a light punch.
This was something that even he, who was exerting all his strength now, found difficult to achieve.
At this moment, Ego hesitated for no longer. The eyes on his two stars disappeared in an instant, followed by a burst of shining energy as bright as a star.
However, he did not choose to continue attacking Peter, but instead fully manipulated his divine power to open a space-time channel leading to the edge of the universe.
"Just you wait, I will definitely come back for you!"
The two stars instantly entered the space-time channel, swiftly shuttling through the spatial cracks.
The space channel leading from here to the end of the universe was filled with endless cosmic storms, but it was difficult to cause damage to Ego at this moment.
It only caused some damage to his body, but it was quickly restored to its entirety.
However, just as Ego was relieved to have escaped unscathed.
A figure shining with crimson light suddenly appeared in the space-time channel he had constructed, and with a tiny body, stood in front of him.
"Impossible... this is impossible!"
The space-time channel opened by Ego's divine power was something that others could not enter without his permission.
"I'll fight you!"
But at this moment, even though it was difficult to understand everything before him, Ego could only grit his teeth and place one of his stars in front of him.
The immense divine power continuously surged from within the star, and dazzling blue divine light enveloped the star.
It seemed to have transformed into a neutron star falling from the nine heavens, crashing towards Peter in front.
"Hmph, trying to escape?"
"Take my Lightning... Fist!"
Facing the huge planet crashing towards him, Peter's expression remained unchanged.
Once again clenching his fist, crimson flames surrounded him, coupled with his golden spiky hair, he looked like a transformed Super Saiyan.
The next moment, Peter aimed at the shining blue light, the star that resembled a neutron star, and fiercely threw a punch.
Boom!
In an instant, like a supernova explosion, the planet crashing towards Peter, its surrounding shimmering blue light barrier, was instantly shattered.
Immediately afterward, along with the internal rocks that had been baptized by Ego's divine power, even harder than vibranium, they all cracked open instantly.
The terrifying explosion caused the entire space-time channel to no longer be able to maintain itself and collapsed in a loud bang.
In the boundless universe, within a small galaxy on the outskirts of the Milky Way.
Space shattered.
Then, a broken planet fell out from within.
At the same time, a figure that was countless times smaller yet more eye-catching followed closely behind.
Looking at the only remaining and now somewhat dilapidated planet, Peter didn't hesitate at all, clenching his fist once again and charging forward!
...
