[Superman] Chapter 139: The Appearance of the Eternal God
🕑 Added 2024-06-02 05:33:15 +0000 UTCAt the moment of the Battle Realm's collapse.
Countless spatial turbulences surged.
Terrifying forces nearly destroyed everything within the entire universe in an instant.
Continents crumbled, space shattered, and the entire world seemed to be crushed to pieces at this moment.
At this time, the Transcended Celestial had no mind to care about those he had kidnapped into the Battle Realm.
He let them perish in the broken Battle Realm universe.
However, he hadn't anticipated that, amidst such a terrifying cosmic destruction, those people hadn't been swallowed by the violent spatial turbulences.
Amidst the rapidly collapsing cosmic reality and the chaotic, turbulent space.
A small, dimly glowing golden shield protected them all.
"Damn, everyone hold on!"
At the center of the group, a middle-aged mage in a black robe, bald, and plump, maintained a strange posture.
The energy gathered from everyone was channeled into a special defensive array he had set up.
The array enveloped the group, swaying like a leaf in the terrifying spatial turbulences.
Yet, the array's defense seemed incredibly resilient, remaining unbroken despite dimming.
Gradually, they drifted within the collapsing universe for an unknown duration, relying on the array.
"Great, everyone hold on, we're about to break through."
Feeling the cosmic storm and turbulences gradually weakening, the mage constructing the array shouted excitedly to the group.
"Great, once we break out of the cosmic destruction's center, the cosmic rules will send us back to our own universes."
Hearing his words, everyone else felt immense excitement and intensified their energy output.
The array, dimmed by the ravaging turbulences and brilliance, suddenly radiated a bright glow again.
Yet, just as they were about to leave the storm's center.
A terrifying burst of energy exploded from the center once more.
This energy shockwave was even more frightening than when it initially destroyed the entire universe.
"Damn, prepare for impact!"
Terrifying light and violent energy swept from the center of the cosmic destruction.
The remaining cosmic reality was utterly obliterated by this energy shockwave.
Despite their preparations for the impact.
Despite everyone releasing their energy to the utmost.
The array even emitted a bright golden light.
Whoosh!
Crack!
But as the terrifying shockwave swept past, the array shattered like fragile glass.
"Fuck, we can't hold it!"
In the moment of crisis, the mage at the center who constructed the array opened a dimensional rift without hesitation.
Instantly, a spatial crack appeared before everyone, blocking the broken shield.
"Ha ha ha!"
Before the rift to the other dimension fully opened, a demonic laughter echoed from within.
"Sorcerer Supreme Wang, summoning me here, are you ready to accept the demon's gift..."
Suddenly, a skeletal hand reached out from the rift, pulling open the crack and revealing a massive head.
Just the head was as large as the array they had constructed.
With long horns on its skull, burning with crimson hellfire, it looked exactly like a demon from legend.
"Damn it! What is this place? Such terrifying energy, you tricked me, Sorcerer Supreme!"
As the demon's upper body emerged from the rift, it sensed the terrifying energy and tried to retreat back to hell.
After all, it valued its life more than any deal with a human Sorcerer Supreme.
...
"Get out here!"
But the plump mage threw out a pre-prepared magical whip, pulling the demon out of the rift.
In an instant, several more magical whips bound the demon.
They manipulated its massive body to stand before everyone.
The entire process took only a moment.
Even so, their array nearly shattered under the immense energy impact.
"No! You damned mage, let me go!"
Though the array temporarily escaped destruction.
The demon's massive body, comparable to Tony in his Godslayer armor, bore the brunt of the universe-destroying energy shockwave.
"No... I won't... die here..."
Only lasting a few seconds, the demon, engulfed in hellfire, was disintegrated by the energy.
Its body, like sand scattered by the wind, vanished.
Even the legendary unextinguishable hellfire was instantly extinguished.
"Damn, it's not enough!"
As the demon's body was obliterated by the energy.
Everyone's faces showed shock and dismay.
"Good luck, everyone."
Everything happened quickly, and the mage could only cast a magical shield over them.
The struggling array collapsed under the residual energy shockwave.
The shielded group was blown away like stones in a tornado.
Their survival was uncertain.
...
Far away, the scene didn't concern the two standing at the universe's destruction center.
At this moment, the Transcended Celestial had drawn a dozen real universes from the distant void, floating behind him like radiant stars, revolving protectively around him.
Each universe emitted an incredibly terrifying aura.
The immense pressure alone instantly obliterated the Battle Realm he had recently created.
Compared to real universes, a pocket universe with incomplete rules was as fragile as a bubble.
"Haha, you are about to witness my true power!"
With countless universes revolving behind him, the Transcended Celestial looked fiercely at the figure ahead.
He raised his hand, and a star representing a universe behind him glowed brightly, striking toward Peter.
"Using an entire universe as a weapon, this guy is something else."
As the universe struck toward him, Peter's eyes flickered, but he didn't dodge.
He clenched his fist, preparing to confront the universe's power head-on.
"Hmph, I could shatter a planet with a punch before."
"Now, I can crush an entire universe with a punch!"
Since defeating Thanos, Peter's power had ascended to a new level.
This was his confidence in facing the Transcended Celestial without fear.
"Heh, thinking you can challenge an entire universe's power alone is sheer arrogance!"
Seeing Peter dare to punch at the universe, the Transcended Celestial sneered.
Even someone as powerful as him couldn't physically destroy an entire universe.
His previous display of crushing a universe involved channeling most of his energy to its weakest points, triggering an explosion.
Destroying an entire universe would indeed leave him weakened.
Trying to destroy a universe with sheer physical force was a fantasy.
Yet, the next moment, his eyes widened in shock.
The scene before him was beyond belief.
Bang!
With Peter's punch, a terrifying force erupted.
Crack!
In an instant, the universe's barrier, like fragile glass, shattered with countless cracks.
In a moment of silent tremor.
The endless cosmic void fell into absolute silence.
As the cracks spread across the universe's barrier.
Boom!
The universe, represented by a sphere, shattered completely.
The destruction of a true universe unleashed a force more terrifying than the Battle Realm's collapse.
Even the void was filled with violent cosmic turbulences.
Lights and energy, brighter and more powerful than the explosion of billions of stars, swept out.
Spreading through the void, it was unknown when it would end.
Even the other universes shaken by the impact trembled continuously.
Such an immense impact seemed to cause a disturbance in the entire multiverse.
In the endless cosmic void, countless glowing orbs representing universes shone like stars.
...
"This... can't be!"
The Transcended Celestial looked at Peter, who had destroyed an entire universe with one punch, in utter shock.
His eyes showed fear.
If he could destroy a universe with a punch, he could destroy the Transcended Celestial's body too.
"No, he can't be that powerful!"
Fear turned into extreme anger.
The Transcended Celestial denied Peter's power while directing more universes at him.
This time, he didn't just send one universe to test.
He sent over a dozen universes in rapid succession.
"Hmph, even if you can destroy one universe, you can't destroy over a dozen in a row!"
The Transcended Celestial seemed to regain his confidence. Destroying one universe didn't mean he could destroy over a dozen.
Yet, as the universes shot toward Peter like a barrage.
As Peter prepared to release all his energy and the full power of the Phoenix Force to incinerate the universes.
The entire multiverse was suddenly swept by an unknown force.
The next moment, the multiverse fell silent!
It was as if the entire multiverse had stopped.
Everything plunged into extreme silence.
"Wait, is that... Eternity? How is this possible!"
The Transcended Celestial saw the glowing universes in the void forming a colossal figure.
The figure seemed to be a true god, encompassing the entire multiverse.
The figure's body covered the multiverse, with countless universes like mere specks within it.
"No!"
The Transcended Celestial felt the figure's gaze lock onto him.
A deathly aura made him feel utterly drained.
The irresistible power and aura left him unable to muster any will to resist.
The figure raised its right hand, extending a finger towards the Transcended Celestial.
Instantly, the Transcended Celestial's body vanished, seemingly erased from the multiverse.
The universes he had directed at Peter also seemed to follow some rule.
They disappeared in a blink, reappearing in the distant void, returning to their original places.
It was as if nothing had happened.
The figure representing Eternity did this as if it were a trivial task.
The figure enveloping the multiverse gradually faded into the void, as if it had never existed.
The endless universes dimmed, and everything seemed like a dream.
Before completely disappearing, Peter felt the figure's gaze on him for a moment.
"Was that one of Marvel's abstract deities, Eternity?"
Looking at the vanished figure, Peter remained calm but almost certain.
A figure so powerful, embodying the multiverse's rules.
It could only be one of Marvel's abstract deities, Eternity.
Its power was beyond anyone's imagination.
"Forget it, this level is not something I can comprehend now."
Be
ings beyond the universe level could traverse the multiverse.
But they still couldn't compare to such cosmic deities.
Eternity represented the entire multiverse's existence.
"However, one day, I will face it."
Peter gazed into the void, then flashed away, traversing the universes.
The next moment, he returned to his own universe.
"I still don't know what that guy was planning."
Peter never learned the Transcended Celestial's true intentions.
But feeling the solidifying universe, Peter sensed his universe was transforming.
Compared to others, its barriers were much stronger.
"Maybe it's a good thing."
Peter no longer dwelled on it, crossing the universe's barriers back into his own.
Meanwhile, within his universe, a fierce battle was raging on a planet.
Crack!
Countless thunderbolts struck the planet, leaving it in ruins.
But in the next moment, a terrifying power erupted from the planet.
"Damn, why is this guy so tough?"
...
