[Superman] Chapter 137: Phoenix Nirvana, Rebirth from the Flames?
🕑 Added 2024-06-02 05:31:55 +0000 UTC"Is this the manifestation of the cosmic rules?"
At this moment, Peter, who was also outside the universe, felt a strange energy fluctuation.
It was this special energy fluctuation that directly pulled back the strong person who had first escaped from the battle realm universe to the reality of their original universe.
However, Peter could sense that this strange energy fluctuation did not belong to anyone, as if it were the rules of the universe itself.
"It seems that if one's power is not strong enough to truly break through the barriers of the universe, the cosmic rules will not allow them to stay in the void outside the universe."
At this time, Peter had a deeper understanding of the cosmic rules.
If one does not truly break through the limitations of the universe, they cannot stay in the void of the universe for a long time.
"However, there might be some special methods to shield the perception of the cosmic rules."
Of course, this might not be an absolute matter, as the cosmic rules are like a unique consciousness and perception.
If one could find a method to shield it, perhaps they could break the rules.
However, generally, those who have not broken through the barriers of the universe find it extremely difficult to survive in the void of the universe.
In a certain sense, these cosmic rules also serve as a special protection for cosmic beings.
"Ah!"
Just as Peter was pondering the cosmic rules, several more figures burst out of the narrow crack in the universe, escaping from the battle realm universe.
However, they also did not receive recognition from the cosmic rules.
The moment they rushed out of the battle realm, they were instantly kicked back into their original universe by the energy fluctuations manifested by the cosmic rules.
"Ah, you deserve to die!"
However, as several people successfully escaped from the battle realm universe, the Transcended Celestial finally became completely enraged.
The next moment, under Peter's watchful eyes, the cosmic star map that originally enveloped the entire battle realm universe, shining brightly and interlinked, began to rapidly contract toward the area where the crack was located.
In just an instant, billions of stars gathered around the crack and emitted an extremely dazzling light.
"Fuck! Hurry up and rush out, I can't hold on any longer!"
As countless stars burst with dazzling light and energy, the one who felt it most directly was Tony, who was forcibly holding open the cosmic crack with his hands.
At this moment, even though he was wearing his most powerful Godslayer armor, with strength comparable to a deity, he still couldn't withstand the terrifying power of the Transcended Celestial.
Billions of stars gathered together, like countless powerful energy cannons, quickly gathering terrifying energy.
Boom!
With a violent burst of energy, it blasted through the crack into the universe.
"Not good, everyone dodge quickly!"
Several people who had already rushed to the crack, just one step away from escaping the universe's constraints, saw the sudden attack of terrifying energy and their faces changed dramatically.
They had no choice but to abandon their attempt to pass through the cosmic crack and dodge to the side.
Although everyone narrowly avoided the energy impact, they didn't forget that there was a huge figure supporting the crack with both hands.
"Damn it, that attack is aimed at me!"
Under normal circumstances, even though Tony was wearing such a large and seemingly cumbersome Godslayer armor, he could still nimbly avoid this energy attack.
However, at this moment, he was using all his strength to hold open the cosmic crack, and could only watch as the terrifying energy blasted onto his chest.
Boom!
With the violent energy suddenly exploding on his chest, the terrible impact instantly blasted his hundreds-of-meters-tall body straight out.
Countless figures around were also affected, and their speed of rushing toward the cosmic crack was impeded.
"It's over!"
With the cosmic crack losing Tony's support and under the gathering energy of countless stars, the cosmic crack began to rapidly close.
In just an instant, it had shrunk to less than one-tenth of its original size.
The crack that could originally accommodate several people now might only allow one or two to pass through together.
"Damn it, it seems we can only do this much!"
However, due to the impact of the explosion just now, even those closest to the crack were dozens of meters away at this moment.
In the past, a distance of dozens of meters could be crossed in an instant with their strength.
But now, this short distance seemed to be an insurmountable chasm for everyone.
...
"Can we only do this much?"
On the ground, Captain America, who had already released all his energy to create an opportunity for others to leave, looked at the cosmic crack rapidly closing in the void, his eyes full of disappointment and regret.
Although a few figures had successfully rushed out at that moment, there were still dozens of people left in this universe.
This was far from the result they had expected.
Whether it was Captain America or others, they all felt it was unacceptable.
Clang! Clang!
"Hmm? Where did that bird call come from?"
Just when everyone was feeling regretful about this result, Captain America and others on the ground suddenly heard a crisp cry beside them.
It sounded like a bird's call, yet also like the clear sound of metal striking.
In short, at this moment, almost everyone was attracted by this sudden sound.
However, before they could turn around to see what made such a strange noise, they saw a crimson figure suddenly rush from the ground to the sky.
Its speed was so fast that it drew a crimson afterimage in the void.
Like a flaming meteor flying backward into the universe, it was eye-catching.
The crimson figure was so fast that it seemed to surpass everyone's understanding.
Until it rushed to the crack in the void that was about to close, everyone finally saw the true appearance of the figure.
"Is this a giant flame bird?"
Countless people looked in shock at the sky, where a giant bird burning with crimson flames was soaring, their eyes full of astonishment.
"This is the power of the Phoenix! It's Jean Grey..."
However, not everyone failed to recognize the true identity of this figure.
Someone did recognize that this crimson figure was Jean, who had merged with the power of the Phoenix.
But before their thoughts could even circulate in their minds, the Phoenix shadow had already squeezed through the rapidly closing crack.
"Wait, what's she doing? Why not rush out directly?"
However, the Phoenix shadow only managed to get its front half through the crack.
The back half had a chance to squeeze through before the crack completely closed, but it didn't.
Instead, she used her body as a support to prevent the crack from completely closing.
"She's creating a new opportunity for everyone!"
At this moment, everyone understood what she was doing.
Among the powerful beings gathered from countless universes, it wasn't just Tony and Captain America who would sacrifice themselves to create an escape opportunity for everyone.
Many of them were capable of sacrificing themselves, facing danger, and heroically giving up their lives as superheroes.
"Hmph, someone else is showing off. Do you really think you're the one who has completely merged with the power of the Phoenix from that special universe?"
However, Tony's self-sacrifice had caught the Transcended Celestial off guard, allowing some to escape his created universe.
This had already made the Transcended Celestial extremely angry.
He didn't expect that after Tony, someone else would dare to stand up and try to prevent the cosmic crack from closing with their body.
"Let me show you what it's like to be torn to pieces!"
The enraged Transcended Celestial revealed his figure from the hidden universe without hesitation.
His huge body covered the entire cosmic sky and instantly released even greater power.
He slowly raised one hand, his open fingers gradually closing.
...
Clang! Clang!
As the Transcended Celestial moved, the stars surrounding the crack burst with even brighter light and energy than before.
The Phoenix shadow caught in the crack let out a shrill cry.
Her wings seemed to be under immense pressure, unable to continue soaring.
The powerful force of the crack pressed on her body, continuously shrinking, as if it was going to cut her body in half.
"Stop holding on, get out of that crack!"
Seeing the Phoenix shadow's tragic cries and the crack's relentless pressure, everyone's faces showed an expression of unbearable pain.
Although they wanted to leave, they couldn't accept such a cruel scene unfolding before them.
Clang! Clang!
The Phoenix's mournful cries echoed.
The crimson flames, like blood, stained the entire void.
Countless people suppressed their intense anger and sadness, unable to help.
They could only watch the tragedy unfold.
After all, they had to combine their strength to barely break the cosmic barriers.
But they couldn't compete with that mysterious figure.
Even though the one who had transformed into the Phoenix held one of the universe's most powerful forces, the Phoenix Force, she still couldn't compete with the ultimate being who could create and destroy universes.
Crack!
"Hmph, let me show you the consequences of defying me!"
The Transcended Celestial's voice echoed throughout the cosmic reality.
He was determined to use brutal means to make everyone understand his strength and cruelty.
Those who dared to defy him would ultimately face true destruction.
The next moment, the Transcended Celestial's fingers suddenly closed together.
As if crushing a universe with one hand, the crack in the cosmic barrier instantly closed completely under his immense power.
Chh!
With the crack fully closed, the Phoenix shadow caught in it shattered instantly.
Countless crimson flames, like blood, scattered like fireworks, rapidly spreading.
Like a rain of fire meteors, they shone brilliantly but briefly in the void.
The crimson light dyed the entire sky, as if the sunset had pierced through the clouds, setting the whole sky ablaze.
It was a beautiful scene, but it filled everyone's hearts with sorrow.
"Hahaha, did you see that? This is what happens when you dare... Wait, what's going on?"
The Transcended Celestial, who covered the entire void, laughed loudly, his laughter filled with mockery and uncontainable anger.
However, as he laughed, the sky, which had lost its color, seemed to ignite a small crimson flame once more.
...
"What... what is this?"
"Could it be, Jean is not dead?"
At this moment, not only was the Transcended Celestial shocked, but even those who were grieving were equally astonished.
Looking at the sky where a faint flicker of flame suddenly bloomed, their eyes were filled with disbelief.
"Impossible, how could an ant who hasn't fully merged with the Phoenix Force survive my power?"
"I can destroy entire universes..."
The Transcended Celestial was in shock. His power, which could destroy entire universes, shouldn't be unable to kill a host of the Phoenix Force.
And this was only a host who hadn't fully merged with the Phoenix Force.
However, no matter how shocked and incredulous the Transcended Celestial was, that small crimson flame continued to expand rapidly under his gaze.
In just an instant, it enveloped the entire sky.
As if the entire void was burning, turning into a sea of crimson flames.
Clang! Clang!
Suddenly, a phoenix cry that shook the universe sounded.
The next moment, a Phoenix shadow flapped its wings and soared out of the sea of fire.
Like a phoenix soaring in the void, its image reflected in the sky.
The Phoenix's figure expanded rapidly, and in just an instant, it grew to a size that covered the entire universe, much like the Transcended Celestial's figure.
Clang! Clang!
With a clearer phoenix cry, its enormous figure seemed to overshadow the Transcended Celestial's.
"Is this the Phoenix Nirvana, rebirth from the flames, as described in ancient Chinese mythology?"
At this moment, a powerful being familiar with ancient Chinese mythology suddenly recalled the legend of the Phoenix's rebirth in flames, looking up in shock at the sky, where the Phoenix's figure appeared more majestic and solid than before.
"No, this is impossible!"
The Transcended Celestial, in disbelief, had the star map behind him, protecting his entire body and shining brightly.
Like billions of stars blooming behind him, the terrifying power and aura contended with the Phoenix shadow in the void.
At this moment, it seemed the entire universe was split in half: one side crimson like fire, the other radiant like gold.
The two forces constantly clashed and battled.
At the intersection of the two forces, the space of the universe was constantly collapsing under the immense power.
It seemed as if the entire universe was about to split from the center.
"No, something's wrong, you're not the same Phoenix Force host from before!"
Suddenly, the Transcended Celestial, who covered the entire universe, seemed to have noticed something.
His eyes, filled with shock, looked beyond the universe, as if he could see a figure beyond the endless void.
"Alright, you still figured it out."
With a somewhat helpless voice, a figure suddenly appeared in the battle realm...
