[Superman] Chapter 22: The Challenge to Become Black Panther
🕑 Added 2024-01-10 06:51:57 +0000 UTCJust as Nick Fury was still overwhelmed with rage over who, exactly, had dared to rob their S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret facilities,
Peter, who was far away in Antarctica, had already started a new round of construction plans.
The original ice cave that was only a few dozen square feet in size.
Under the cuts of his powerful strength and scorching heat vision, it had expanded hundreds of times.
The entire underside of the ice peak had almost been completely hollowed out by him, like a rat's nest in all directions, with a dozen caves interconnecting several vast areas.
Those areas were now transformed into various experimental laboratories.
Afterwards, Peter brought in large amounts of high-strength steel and high-tech experimental equipment from labs around the world.
Some were from the S.H.I.E.L.D. secret lab he had visited.
After handing over the advanced experimental equipment to the scientists,
Peter started a new phase of construction.
The construction process was also very simple and rough.
Peter first turned into a max-level tin knocker. Using his heat vision, he cut the several centimeters thick high-strength alloy steel plates.
Along the edge of the area where the mountain peak was hollowed out, he covered it with a piece of high-strength alloy.
Then in an instant, he turned into a welding technician, using his heat vision to firmly weld the steel plates together.
At this moment, Peter alone was comparable to an entire famous construction crew known for their obsession with infrastructure projects.
In front of everyone's dumbfounded gazes,
in less than half a day, the crude ice cave had been completely transformed.
The silvery-white metal walls looked extremely sturdy and solid.
"Now we don't have to worry about this place collapsing."
Gazing at the fortress-like sturdy metal walls, everyone quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
"But now, we also have no chance to escape."
Apart from the necessary ventilation holes, this place was almost entirely covered in silvery-white high-strength alloy, like a gigantic cage trapping them all inside.
"Since that's the case, in order to get out of this damn place as soon as possible, it seems we can only obey his demands and do our utmost to produce the battlesuit he wants."
Although extremely reluctant internally, currently they could only act according to Peter's requests.
"I hope in the upcoming period, we can cooperate as one and fulfill that guy's requirements as quickly as possible, so we can get out of here sooner."
Tony looked at the others, his eyes filled with determination.
He had heard of some of these people before, while some he had just met today.
But from this moment onward, they would fight together, sparing no effort for the sake of their freedom.
"So I hope during this time, no one holds anything back. Make full use of our genius intellects."
"It's just some nano battle armor. If we combine our efforts, making a spaceship to fly out of here would be easy..."
Seeing the people trapped here with more or less negative emotions on their faces, Tony spoke excitedly to motivate them.
"A spaceship? If the materials are sufficient, I alone could build one..."
As the Wakandan princess, Shuri stated she had built spaceships by herself a couple of years ago.
However, nanotechnology was still an area she was actively researching and exploring.
"Hehe, I hope they can bring me satisfactory results soon."
Slowly closing the only exit at the top made of alloy,
In the next moment, Peter shot straight towards the sky, flying back home.
He didn't have too much time to accompany them here, since the vacation would be ending soon.
And he, already become Superman, still had to attend classes...
...
Meanwhile, in the midst of the Wakanda tribe located in Africa.
an extremely important ceremony was taking place.
T'Challa, son of the Wakandan king T'Chaka, was about to undergo the Heart-Shaped Herb trial - to obtain the blessing and protection of the Panther God, and awaken the power of the Black Panther.
This was an important day second only to selecting a new king of Wakanda.
At this time, countless Wakandan tribesmen had gathered at the mouth of the cave where the Heart-Shaped Herb grew.
Standing on the rocks surrounding the rapidly flowing waterfall, the tribespeople looked at their king with eyes full of respect and reverence, the true leader who had led them towards prosperity.
"My fellow Wakandans, as you all know, we deeply value peace, which is the very reason we have persisted in hiding here."
"However, just yesterday, intruders broke into our Wakanda and took away the Princess of Wakanda, my one and only daughter."
Facing all the Wakandan tribespeople while standing amidst the turbulent waters, the old king slowly spoke, unable to conceal the grief over his kidnapped daughter in his tone.
"At this moment, not only for my daughter but for our entire Wakanda, for every single tribesperson of Wakanda,"
as he spoke, the old king's gaze gradually became determined.
"The people of Wakanda hate war, but will never fear it."
"For friends who come, we will prepare the grandest feast, the most solemn welcome ceremony."
"And for formidable enemies who invade, what awaits them are Wakanda's most fearless warriors, their sharpest spears that will ruthlessly pierce the enemies' hearts!"
"We the people of Wakanda, are unconquerable!"
The old king grew more and more passionate, in the end even raising the scepter in his hand that symbolized power and supremacy.
"Wakanda forever!"
"Wakanda forever!"
...
In an instant, deafening roars resonated throughout Wakanda, like tidal waves crashing on mountains.
Even the surrounding rapidly flowing waterfalls were stirred by the thunderous shouts.
Amidst the outrage across the Wakandan populace, the old king continued, "Therefore, now my bravest and most fearless son T'Challa will..."
The old king's gaze also shifted appropriately towards his son who had been waiting aside for some time.
"Challenge Wakanda's most courageous warrior. If he succeeds in the challenge, he shall, as guided by our ancestors, ingest the precious Heart-Shaped Herb, obtaining the great Panther God's protection and blessing."
"And take over from me, becoming Wakanda's newest guardian - the Black Panther!"
At this moment, before all the Wakandan tribespeople, the old king had announced this shocking news.
"Father, I absolutely will not disappoint you!"
Stepping into the flowing waters, T'Challa came before his father with determination filling his face.
"Now, I declare the challenge begins immediately!"
"Hu... Ha..."
Thump Thump Thump!
The instant the old king announced the start of the challenge, all the Wakandan tribespeople began cheering excitedly. The unique sound of drums also started resonating, stirring people's hearts.
At the same time, several of Wakanda's bravest and most fearless warriors, armed with sharp spears, surrounded T'Challa in the waters.
One warrior with a fierce mask on his head, his physique much sturdier than T'Challa's, stood facing T'Challa.
"Ha!"
With a roar, the challenge instantly commenced.
The brawny Wakandan warrior immediately thrust his spear viciously towards T'Challa before him.
