[Superman] Chapter 20: You Have All Been Kidnapped!
🕑 Added 2024-01-10 06:39:38 +0000 UTC"Why? Why did that Superman kidnap my daughter?"
Upon hearing that his own daughter had been kidnapped, T'Chaka felt extremely anxious.
He wished he could mobilize Wakanda's entire armed forces right now to go find Superman and take back his daughter from him.
However, as the king who rules over all of Wakanda, he knew there were some things that he could not decide so rashly.
If he gathered Wakanda's armed forces now, there would be no doubt that it would mean choosing to go to war against that mysteriously powerful Superman.
The consequences would be more than he could accept, and more than Wakanda could withstand.
After all, despite their proud claims of advanced technology and formidable power, and an impenetrable protective dome that no other country could breach, it had not lasted even a few seconds in that man's hands.
"Father, what on earth happened? Why were we attacked?"
Just as T'Chaka had barely accepted the fact that his daughter had been kidnapped and was pondering how to resolve the situation, his son T'Challa received news that Wakanda had been invaded and hurried over to the palace.
"Prince T'Challa, don't panic. The King is working on a solution and will definitely rescue Princess Shuri!"
"What? My sister was kidnapped?"
T'Challa had only known about the invasion of Wakanda. He was just now finding out that his sister had been kidnapped.
"Father, who exactly kidnapped my sister?"
Although Shuri was only T'Challa's half-sister, they had a very close relationship.
Upon finding out his sister had been kidnapped, T'Challa instantly became extremely agitated.
"I'm gathering my guards right now and going to rescue my sister myself!"
The next moment, he directly turned to leave.
"You brat, sit down!"
Just as T'Challa was about to leave the palace, the silently pondering old King T'Chaka finally spoke up.
"But...Father?"
T'Challa at this time was not yet the competent King of Wakanda he would become in later years. In his young temperament, there was more recklessness and impulsiveness.
"Alright, we need to plan for the long-term regarding this matter."
The old king walked down from his throne and slowly went to T'Challa's side, patting him on the shoulder. Then he took the lead in stepping out of the palace.
"We have never provoked that Superman. For him to suddenly break into our Wakanda now and kidnap your sister, there must be reasons we do not know."
Walking outside the palace, looking at the shield that had been broken through a large hole in the air and was slowly repairing itself, the old king's expression became even more solemn.
"Moreover, I believe that he will come back again and present his demands to us."
The wise old king had already guessed in his heart the reason why that Superman had kidnapped his daughter.
"Father, you mean..?"
Following behind the old king, T'Challa also immediately understood.
Looking at the futuristic, tech-filled landscape that was like a city of the future, he instantly thought of what had brought about Wakanda's current state.
"It's nothing more than some Vibranium. If this Superman likes it, what's the harm in giving him some to buy back Wakanda's peace?"
Making this decision seemed to make the old king age several more years instantly.
"But Father, what if he is not satisfied with that?"
T'Challa was very worried the other party would not be satisfied.
"Then he will witness that the Warriors of Wakanda are Fearless!"
At this moment, the old king's gaze was extremely firm, with a fierce light flashing in his eyes, like a leopard staring at its prey.
But in an instant, the fierce aura around the old king disappeared without a trace.
"But Wakanda never fights an unprepared battle."
Gazing at the half-moon hanging in the sky, the old king's thoughts seemed to be reminiscing about something.
Suddenly, the old king turned around and said to T'Challa behind him, "My child, I have a mission for you to undertake."
"But before that, you will need to first receive the blessing of the Panther God..."
......
In the ice cave of Antarctica, at this moment there are already more than ten figures.
Among them, there are men and women, old and young.
Without exception, they were all brought here by Peter by force.
Some were still sleeping in bed the moment before, and when they woke up they were already there.
Some were doing experiments in the laboratory but were also brought directly here by Peter.
Fortunately, the ice cave Peter chose was big enough, otherwise, it really wouldn’t hold so many people.
However, because this place is located in Antarctica, the temperature is below zero all year round.
And some of them didn’t wear many clothes before they came, and some even liked to sleep naked...
Of course, Peter was not so insensitive to human feelings that he brought them here with nothing on, he put clothes on them before bringing them here.
At the moment, they were warming themselves around the only ball of fire in the middle of the ice cave and were familiarizing themselves with each other.
"So, why did that self-proclaimed Superman bring us here?"
A girl with delicate Asian features wearing thin clothes was stretching out her hands to absorb the heat emanating from the fire while slowly opening her mouth to ask.
"Ahem, Beautiful Miss, let me answer this question for you."
When facing a beautiful woman, Tony Stark's playboy personality seemed unable to be concealed again.
After clearing his throat and attracting everyone's attention, Tony finally stood up, looked down at everyone, and slowly said, "That guy brought us here to help him make..."
Just as Tony was about to give a pretentious speech in front of everyone, suddenly, there was the sound of something tearing through the air, interrupting what he was about to say.
The crowd couldn't help but turn around and look, only to see that there were once again two more figures in the middle of the ice cave.
"This guy, how could he not even let a child go, she's just a girl in her early teens."
Looking at the violently vomiting Wakandan Princess Shuri, Tony didn't understand why Superman had brought her here.
After all, in Tony's eyes, she was just a girl in her early teens, completely incomparable with them, adult scientists, some of whom were already old men.
At this moment, Peter's figure did not land on the ground, but floated in the air, with a serious yet cold gaze slowly sweeping over the people in front of him.
"Reed Richards, the leader of the Fantastic Four and the smartest man on Earth in this universe."
"Creator of the Regeneration Cradle, Korean Scientist Dr. Helen Cho."
"Dr. Erik Selvig, expert in astrophysics and energy."
"And finally, from Wakanda, with absolute authority over Vibranium technology, Princess Shuri of Wakanda."
Peter's gaze swept over everyone as he slowly recited their names.
As for the other dozen or so people, although not famous, they were also well-known researchers in this world.
After all, completing his nano armor and Fortress of Solitude would require more than just a few top genius minds.
The corresponding assistants were also indispensable.
"Without a doubt, you are all the most outstanding scientific geniuses in your respective fields."
"But now..."
Suddenly, Peter paused, his eyes instantly glowing red.
Zzzt!
Two heat vision beams instantly circled around everyone, leaving a red-hot circular mark on the ground, encircling everyone inside.
"Oh my god!"
"No!"
A few people almost got swept up by the searing heat vision, but fortunately dodged back in time to avoid being cut in half.
"These gutless cowards."
Tony, who saw everything, showed no panic at all, completely forgetting what he looked like when he was first kidnapped.
Stopping the release of heat vision, looking at the people in front with eyes still dangerously glowing red, Peter slowly continued.
"Unfortunately, you have all been kidnapped!"
