[Genshin Impact] Chapter 78: New Scene
🕑 Added 2024-02-10 08:01:02 +0000 UTCThousand Winds Temple, the second layer of the Secret Realm.
The people from the Adventurers' Guild said that traces of the Petrified Ancient Tree were found on the second floor.
So, in order to avoid wandering around like headless flies in the entire large-scale realm, Nolan and his group arrived at the second layer as soon as possible.
"Hey, hey, don't block the way!"
Just as the three arrived from the first layer to the second, they were stunned by the sight before them.
This wasn't the location of the massive circular domed room where they had previously landed, but rather a new exit from the first to the second layer that adventurers had discovered.
Before them was a large rectangular corridor illuminated by burning small flaming braziers, casting light. The walls were made of brick.
Tents of adventurers stood on both sides of the corridor, stretching endlessly into the distance.
Some adventurers even laid out materials they had obtained during their exploration of the Secret Realm for sale, making the place bustling like the streets of Mondstadt.
Coming down the stairs to the second layer were seven or eight adventurers.
The leader was a guy with a crew cut, carrying a large adventurer's backpack on his back. He impatiently pushed aside Bennett, who was standing slightly to the left, and walked straight ahead.
"Uh, sorry," Bennett scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly.
Mainly because Nolan and the others were standing still, which caused Bennett, who was on the far left, to block the path for others.
"Hmph! How rude!"
Fischl rested her hands on her hips, scolding bluntly.
The purple-black hem of her dress fluttered slightly, obscuring her legs clad in uneven black stockings.
The slight flesh-colored pantyhose on her right leg, which had been torn by gravel during their last adventure, was no longer visible.
She must have changed it.
From behind, the glimpse of bare skin on her left thigh was hidden by the dress hem, barely visible under the skirt.
The snow-white and soft appearance of her thighs could only be imagined.
The group of adventurers ahead had already walked far away, and Nolan and his companions began to browse the bustling corridor, curiously looking at the items for sale.
There were one-star and two-star artifacts opened from treasure chests, but no three-star ones seemed to be for sale.
Also crystal chunks and the like, slime condensate, broken hilichurl masks, sharp arrowheads, divining scrolls, and so on.
Even Chaos Devices were available, and some people even dismantled various parts of Ruin Guards to sell.
These guys were probably trying to entice young novice adventurers to spend money, after all, who would go back and tell their friends, "Look, this is the arm of a Ruin Guard!"
Haha, only those who care about face would fall for it.
Apart from Chaos Devices, the other parts of Ruin Guards didn't have much technical value, probably only useful for refining into useful metals.
"Primogem! Anyone need Primogems from Treasure Chests? Selling them cheap!"
At this moment, a voice selling primogems was heard ahead, and Nolan's eyes slightly lit up as he quickened his pace.
"Sir Nolan really likes these shiny things." Oz the Raven behind him sighed slightly.
Then, he followed Fischl and Bennett, slowly catching up.
In front of the stall of the adventurer wearing forest green clothes, there were indeed two shiny primogems. Although Nolan was somewhat tempted, he didn't show it much and asked, "What's the price?"
The adventurer in forest green clothes said, "95,000 Mora each, it's cheap right?"
Compared to the usual 100,000 Mora, it was a small discount. But not by much at this price range.
Nolan also knew that Primogems were easy to sell, so getting them at a cheaper price was already good.
So without haggling, he quickly purchased both before others came.
The two Primogems cost 190,000 Mora, leaving him with 80,000. Still short of next month's rent to Eula.
There was no need to rush for now, as there was still more than half a month left.
Nolan put the two Primogems into his adventure backpack, Bennett came over to Nolan and said:
"I didn't expect you to like Primogems so much. Unfortunately, I don't come across many in my adventures, otherwise I could sell them to you."
"In that case, Bennett, if you happen to get any Primogems in the future, you can keep them and sell them to me when I have enough Mora, okay?" Nolan thought for a moment and said.
After all, this kind of thing was not always available, and even with enough Mora, it wasn't certain that he could buy them. If Bennett was willing to keep them for him, it would be a big help.
However, his unlucky constitution wouldn't necessarily allow him to get any Primogems smoothly.
"Of course no problem!"
Primogems didn't matter much to Bennett. Selling them to anyone was the same. Since a friend needed them, they would be given priority.
"Such meager radiance is but decoration in my palace's rear corridors. My attendant, if you need them, feel free to take them."
Fischl smiled, lifting the golden hairs on her right side with her fair hand, gently shaking them before letting them fall again, covering her snow-white soft shoulders.
'You mean I should come to Immernachtreich to get them?' Nolan thought somewhat helplessly.
There was no wind in the Secret Realm, and it felt a bit stuffy in this crowded passage. Suddenly, Nolan saw someone excitedly running back from the front.
Then, shouting as he ran:
"Big news! Big news! An adventurer group found a petrified ancient tree in the eastern marsh area!!!"
At his words, the bustling street came to a standstill. The next second, thunderous cheers erupted from all!
Immediately, every adventurer began mobilizing, packing weapons and supplies like an army of ants pouring out.
"Amazing, such good luck to find treasure as soon as we entered the realm!"
Bennett clenched his fists in excitement, his eyes looked like they were radiating green light.
Nolan heard Bennett's words and had a somewhat bad feeling. After all, the phrase "good luck" sounded off coming from him.
But since the petrified ancient tree had appeared, they definitely couldn't miss it. Not participating meant no share of the spoils.
That's right, the petrified ancient tree, which only appeared in Secret Realm and was even more closely connected to the ley lines, would generally attract more monsters.
Because the Secret Realm themselves had denser monster distributions than the wilderness, the petrified ancient tree attracted a larger range of monsters.
According to records from the Adventurer's Guild, there were generally no fewer than twenty to thirty monsters gathered around the petrified ancient tree, sometimes even more.
For a regular adventurer group, this was something they couldn't handle on their own.
The only way was to spread the news and, under the witness of the Adventurer's Guild, everyone would collectively clear out the monsters. Finally, the loot obtained from the petrified ancient tree would be distributed according to contributions made by the adventurer group.
As for solo exploration of the petrified ancient tree in the Secret Realm, one probably required to ascend 3 or 4 times, and success was not guaranteed.
