[Superman] Chapter 77: Power of a Fist, Like a Nuclear Explosion
🕑 Added 2024-02-03 13:14:04 +0000 UTC"Everyone look quick, what's that in the sky?"
"It's Superman, that's Superman!"
"The other one looks a bit familiar..."
"That's right, I remember now, isn't that guy the God of Thunder who invaded Earth not long ago but was defeated by Superman?"
"He dares to come back to Earth?"
In the city, countless people noticed the situation in the sky, gazing up at the two majestic figures in the air, discussing amongst themselves.
And at this time, the two figures floating in the sky above the city were also closely watching each other.
"Oh? With your power increased a bit, you couldn't wait to rush back and regain the face you lost last time?"
Peter looked at Thor wielding his axe, his body surrounded by interweaving red and silver lightning, and slowly opened his mouth to ask in a relaxed tone.
"Hmph, I was indeed careless last time."
Peter's mention of his previous defeat made Thor's expression somewhat unpleasant.
But he quickly regained his composure.
"But this time, I must personally wash away the disgrace you brought me and rebuild Asgard's glory."
"Let me make it clear to you, I am the true God of Thunder."
"And insignificant humans can only seek refuge under the protection of us Asgardians..."
Before Thor could finish speaking, two golden pillars of light instantly struck his body, directly sending an unprepared Thor flying.
"So much nonsense, since you want to fight, then let your strength do the talking!" The golden light in Peter's eyes had not yet dissipated.
Peter's figure swiftly rushed towards the flying Thor once again.
"You damn guy, no sense of honor."
Thor, who was sent flying, hadn't suffered much damage at this point, but as he just stopped his backward flight, he found a familiar figure almost teleporting in front of him.
"This guy, how can he be so fast?"
Thor, unable to react in time, swung the axe, shimmering with intense lightning, towards the figure in front of him without hesitation.
Boom!
With an earth-shaking rumble, accompanied by the outbreak of a berserk lightning storm.
The tremendous impact even instantly shattered the glass windows of buildings below in the city.
"What's the hurry? If you want to fight, go somewhere wide and uninhabited."
Blocking Thor's battleaxe with a fist, Peter's other hand directly grabbed Thor's body.
In the next moment, his speed instantly climbed to hundreds of times the speed of sound.
Almost in the blink of an eye, they went from the bustling city to empty airspace above a desolate unpopulated area.
There wasn't a single person within hundreds of kilometers here.
Looking at the enormous mountain not far away.
Peter unhesitatingly flung the Thor in his hand over.
Boom!
Like an intercontinental missile, it crashed onto the huge mountain peak.
Thor's body directly plunged into the mountain, stirring up a huge cloud of smoke and countless rocks.
However, just seconds later, for some reason thick clouds had gathered above the mountain, almost obscuring the entire horizon.
Fiery red thunder brewed within.
Crack!
In the next moment, lightning as thick as a barrel of water ferociously struck down.
Under the berserk lightning's havoc, the enormous mountain instantly crumbled inch by inch.
As rocks shattered, in less than a few seconds, the huge mountain peak was effortlessly flattened.
Boom!
Among the falling rocks, a figure leaped out.
"You, you've completely angered me!"
At this moment, Thor carried the fury of terrifying thunder.
With the axe in hand, accompanied by the thunderous roar echoing through the sky, it turned into a huge lightning storm and rushed towards Peter at high speed.
"Heh, anger that doesn't match your strength is just a sign of incompetence!"
Watching Thor, engulfed by countless violent lightning bolts converging into a hurricane-like lightning storm, charging straight towards him, Peter's mouth curled into a contemptuous smile.
...
The next moment, Peter slowly raised his right hand, each finger slowly clenching one by one.
The immense pressure, even the air was instantly squeezed, forming a pool of liquid slowly dripping from Peter's fist.
Then, facing the lightning storm converging around Thor, Peter swung a seemingly ordinary punch!
However, within this seemingly ordinary punch, carried billions of tons of terrifying force.
With the swing, the sky and the earth changed color.
The sky-obscuring clouds dissipated without a trace under this punch.
The terrifying power erupting instantly was as if it warped space itself, forming a phenomenon similar to a small black hole.
Air was continuously condensed and compressed, forming a fist wind visible to the naked eye.
Even the sunlight seemed to be attracted, making the sky dim, with the light clinging to the solid air punch wind, shining with intense fluorescence.
The next moment, a roaring explosion erupted towards the lightning storm below.
At this moment, everything became silent.
It was as if time had frozen in this instant.
The terrifying momentum, yet accompanied by the silent scene, made everything appear extremely bizarre.
The frenzied lightning storm disintegrated inch by inch in an instant.
Thor's body, swept up by the gushing fist wind, was almost instantly accelerated from stillness to nearly ten thousand times the speed of sound.
Crashing down on the earth with a loud bang.
In an instant, the mountains collapsed and the earth split.
As if a nuclear bomb of tremendous yield had been buried deep underground.
Underneath the surface, a terrifying shockwave spread out in all directions like an underground dragon rolling its massive body. (T/N: Well, bcoz there is celestial dragon there, kekeke~)
Forming hydrostatic overpressure, the instantly erupting high pressure and vacuum continuously tore at the earth's crust.
The entire ground surface bulged visibly, like ripples on water, in concentric circles like on a target.
However, this phenomenon only lasted a few seconds before.
Boom!
The entire surface instantly exploded, as if the mountains were collapsing and the earth splitting. A huge mushroom cloud of aggregated dust rose up.
The stirred up dust almost obscured the sky within dozens of kilometers.
The terrifying shockwave spread for hundreds of kilometers, with strong tremors felt thousands of kilometers away.
"Earth is still too fragile, completely unsuited for fighting."
This one punch had an even more terrifying effect than a nuclear bomb blast, but it left Peter feeling somewhat stifled.
On Earth, he had to restrain his power every moment.
Even in this fight, he didn't even dare to display a hundredth of his power.
"Looks like I'll need to find a place where I can unrestrainedly use my power."
In the next moment, before the billowing dust could disperse below, Peter's whole body had already rushed into the dust cloud.
In the pit bottom nearly a kilometer deep, he found Thor's body.
"No!"
Then, under Thor's incredulous gaze, he snatched the battleaxe from his hand.
"Summoning the Bifrost Bridge? I see."
Upon touching the battleaxe, Peter had almost completely grasped how to use it.
In the next moment, a brilliant beam of light thundered down, enveloping Thor and Peter's bodies.
Nearly an hour later, the towering dust cloud finally slowly dissipated.
And if one were to look down from the sky, they would find only an incredibly huge and awe-inspiring meteorite crater left here.
