Deleted scene: Bad End 5
🕑 Added 2023-05-03 10:07:55 +0000 UTCThis takes place right as you're about to enter the trailer to confront Adam who is holding your aunt hostage.
Enjoy!
------------
Inside you hear the sound of a scuffle taking place and your Aunt screaming. Glass shatters and there’s a grunt followed by a thump against the door.
Upon hearing this, afraid you’ll see your aunt in the middle of being stabbed to death, you yank it open…
Just as a shot rings out.
Your aunt stands in the middle of the tailer, smoking gun in hand with her eyes gone wild and hair a disheveled mess.
Much to your relief she’s okay, standing tall and firm over the man who’s made both of your lives a living hell.
Adams sits, crouched on the floor in front of you as if he’d been pushed up against it, breathing heavily, hand resting on his chest as if to feel for his own heartbeat.
Did she hit him?
You wait for him to slump over, but he doesn’t and you don’t see any blood on the floor.
Is he wearing a bulletproof vest?
You take a step forward, ready to step in and help your aunt overpower the bastard when you find yourself stumbling, your hand bracing on the door hinge.
Damn, did your shoulder injury open up again?
You try reaching for it, but your hand refuses to cooperate and you’re trying so hard to remain upright and conscious.
Why do you feel woozy? Did you eat something weird at the bar earlier?
You should’ve never trusted their food, despite how cheap it was.
Your aunt drops the gun and covers her mouth with horror, her fingers shaking as the clarity in her eyes returns.
Adam looks up at her and then he turns to peer over his shoulder to see what she's staring at.
His own eyes widen at the sight of you, shock making his lips open just a fraction.
He mouths something. Your name you think.
Jeez.
Why's he so damn surprised to see you? He called you here in the first place.
He just gets more confusing the longer you associate with him.
Not that you want to.
You'd rather di-
You double over as pain hits you again, sending you reeling.
Ugh the burning in your chest keeps getting worse.
A bad case of heartburn? You don't quite understand.
Adam launches to his feet and for some reason he's on your aunt.
No! You came here.
This wasn't the agreement.
You teeter totter into the door frame trying to stop him, your breathing becoming ragged.
He begins shaking your aunt so hard you're afraid he's going to break her neck in the process.
You catch glimpses of his voice, filled with rage and something like…distress?
Adam: What….fuck…you…do???
Your Aunts begging him to stop, that he’s crushing her throat, that she can’t breathe and you try taking another step forward but flail and stumble into the trailer's table.
You try telling him to stop.
You try grabbing the knife at your side.
But neither happens. You can't breathe.
Your hand finally makes its way to your chest where the pain resides and when you peel it back from your shirt.
A dark red stain coats your skin.
Blood, but…
When did this happen?
How…?
Oh…
This…explains a lot.
There’s a snap and when you manage to loll your head up towards the sound you watch as your aunt collapses at Adam's feet before he turns on you.
A spark of rage burns behind his eyes like the kindling of a flame turning into an inferno.
Ah.
He's finally going to kill you.
That's what he's here for, after all.
You try getting into a fighting position to fend him off, but damn you cant….
You collapse and Adam lunges forward as if on reflex.
He manages to stop you from hitting the floor.
You're surprised. Shouldn't seeing you face down, drowning in a pool of your own blood satisfy him?
Why not add insult to injury by letting you break your nose?
You don't understand.
Adam lowers you to the ground and his hands are rough on your chin.
Like he's trying to keep you awake.
Adam: Hey…HEY.
There’s a snarl in his voice. It flickers in and out but you can hear his frustration and anger.
Adam: Don’t…fucking…dare…
You blink up at him. The outline of his face looks a bit fuzzy, distorted around the edges.
But the expression on his face…
Why the hell does he look like his favorite hamster died?
Oh.
You get it now.
He wanted to be the one to kill you.
But instead you ended up dying at the hands of your aunt and now he's upset about it.
Did he like this game of cat and mouse that much?
Weirdo…
You'll never understand him. Not even on death's door.
Your eyes drift over to your aunt who lies in a heap on the floor,
But…
You close your eyes, smiling.
At least he didn't get what he wanted. He didn't get to kill you in the end.
He tries shaking you as you plunge deeper into darkness and finally let yourself go.

I know it probably isn't fitting into the story or something but this scrapped scene is too good to trash! Your writing is impeccable!
