Art Updates (January 30th, 2024)

- The Princess Daisy ENF is still going well. Unfortunately, work is a bit slow due to both college and the art block still wearing on me, so the art update for that is smaller with some background assets I’ve been working on for the animation.
- A smaller thing I’ve been working on, to help get myself out of my art block, is learning more about character design and color theory and then applying those ideas to Ponytail Gorl and Newd Friend. I'll list out their character design changes in the Small Updates thread.
- I’ve decided it’s best to make future art updates get posted on Monday for Patrons and Tuesday for Discord. This is because Mondays are now my day off, while Sundays are now flooded with college work with less time to make sure the update is polished.
Small Updates
- The design changes include the following:
- Ponytail Gorl and Newd Friend are in the same pose in this art, but this doesn’t mean anything for the animations. If you see multiple characters in my art updates in this pose, it’s because it is just a T-Pose equivalent for my art, so I have all parts of the body uncovered while I draw their clothes or bodies right.
- I made their eyelashes gray instead of black to make them stand out better while in their darker hair colors.
- Ponytail Gorl now has blue eyes. The blue both helps her eyes stand out more than her brown eyes, and the color helps symbolize her shyness in the animations.
- I made a tan design for PG, where she also has tan lines. I think this will be nice for beach-themed ENF because it follows the design philosophy of her brighter tan lines, catching the eye of the beholder better, and also could add more depth to any beach-themed levels in PGVN… I also just like tan lines lol.
- Newd Friend’s hairstyle changed. I always felt that NF’s hair looked a bit off and too simple, so I decided to overhaul it. Her long and free hair is perfectly representative of the freedom she feels in the nudism she practices, as opposed to PG’s more restrictive ponytail.
- NF now has orange eyes, so her eyes stand out more than her brown eyes, the color orange symbolizing her confidence, and the fact that orange is complementary to PG’s blue eyes. The last point helps to show their deeper connection as friends. :)
- NF also has a necklace with a Carnelian crystal, because it symbolizes confidence and courage. It also may or may not change to differing small articles of clothing on Newd Friend. She doesn’t want to wear clothes that cover her beautiful body, but she will willingly wear smaller accessories such as a necklace because it looks pretty.
- Open to other ideas if you guys have any for adjusting their designs. :)
Current Animation Schedule
- There was only one update on the schedule this week:
- Changed the Princess Daisy Animation’s release date to March 3rd, and hopefully it will actually come out sooner than that. I’m just establishing it as that, so I have a lot of time for myself to both make the animations and have time to get out of my art block.
