Are we ever going to actually find out what their backstory together is? It’s clear that Aya is most likely a few years older than Mitsu. I’m guessing that they might be from the same town and or neighborhood maybe. The way Aya looks after Mitsu, and the way Mitsu allows Aya to look after her the way she does, leads me to believe they grew up together from the time Mitsu was quite young. Though young enough that Aya would feel naturally responsible for making sure she is safe and at a time Mitsu had to have been young enough to have felt comfortable coming to rely on Aya like she does, while at the same time growing up into such a strong woman emotionally. Though it’s clear, if you only take the official story at this point, (and none of the non-official extra content we get on here) that Mitsu has some beautiful vulnerability under her brash outward strength too. Which makes her so much more attractive because of it. Aya on the other hand is extremely complex, (not to say Mitsu isn’t complex it’s just their complexities are displayed very differently) and Arya’s complexity could be dangerous, though it’s not clear as to how or to whom it would be dangerous for. These are my assessments on these two characters, god I think I have been thinking about these characters more than about the characters from my own work for too long now!! But I love well written stories I can sink my mind into! It’s a great mental exercise!
