Sims 4 - Chairs for the chair boosters (important!)
🕑 Added 2020-10-11 18:13:51 +0000 UTCIt seems the slot added for the chair booster is a bit too much trouble. Sadly, there's no alternative way to install those.
BUT, instead of replacing chairs with chairs with a slot, I've remade them as different objects, allowing you to install a slotted chair only when you need one. All the slotted chairs have a "slotted-for-chairbooster" in their name, and have a specific tiny mark on their thumbnails, so they're re easy to differenciate from regular chairs in game.
I'm also uploading all my regular chairs without slots (if you had downloaded my chairs with slots previously, they would override the original ones)
Last, I've updated the instructions, explaining you how to clone the chair you want to edit, instead of just how to add a slot. I've also removed the file that added a slot to all EA chairs because I think it's better to use slotted chair only when you really need one.

Yes, the slotted chairs are especially for the boosters, and as you guessed, the Sims don't recognise the booster without the mat.

The splat mat is still required when you put a chair booster. It's very important to put it in the righ orientation or you prevent the adult from putting a toddler on the chair booster, but not from sitting on the chair. *roll eyes* Also, yes, it only works on slotted chair. Doh, it was SO easy to make in the Sims 3 and it's such a mess in Sims 4! I really wanted to be able to put a toddler on a chair, but, pfew, what a journey! :D
So does the booster only function in slotted chairs? And do we need those splat mats under the chairs? I can get one of my toddlers to eat at the table sometimes, but my other toddler refuses. My sim self (the mother) sits in the chair with the booster to eat 🤦🏻♀️ I know I am doing something wrong😅
