Sims 4 - Patch & broken chairs
🕑 Added 2021-03-26 12:03:43 +0000 UTCI haven't patched yet but it seems the new patch prevents custom chairs from being used with tables...
So far, OrangeMittens, at Sims 4 Studio, recommands to wait and see: EA might provide a fix to that patch, or if they don't, S4S team will work at a batch fix:
“ I would also like to encourage people to wait at least a little while for EA to fix this or for a batch fix to be made. If everyone starts making their own instance numbers for every chair they have, there are going to be hundreds of chairs out there each with hundreds of different instance numbers. This could cause problems down the road if people start sharing their chair folders with friends who are also receiving chair folders from other people. The instance number is what the game uses to tell which object is what. Things that increase the chance that a player will have more than one item with a given instance number or versions of the same item with different instance numbers in their game should be avoided. If we do a batch fix we can hash the number in a fashion that ensures a specific chair gets the same number no matter who batch fixes it.”
Be sure that if we go for a S4S fix, I'll fix my files as soon as possible! In the meanwhile... I might just not patch! :p

Hi there is an issue with the beds - I think the cc bunk beds effect the "relax" mode on all other beds so maybe the upper and bottom beds have to be updated.

I think by now the Gurus would have addressed those plans on Twitter. Easter is only coming up this week end and well, it's not exactly like anyone is heading to Easter vacation (except for my fellow Germans who are flying over to Mallorca in the thousands because they can *grrr*). Well, we will see what happens. EA fixing it would definitely be better. nd if not, I hope there will be a batch fix.

Actually, they have fixed an issue their patch caused with CC once, that's why OrangeMittens seems to be optimistic: a patch destroyed all the CC description, EA fixed that few days after. Incredible, I know! ;D

Tbh, I don't think EA will fix this issue. It affects CC, so not exactly their responsibility and they know the community will always find a fix themselves. ;)

I've patched already but I do think it's wise to wait for EA to (hopefully!) fix this issue.
