Gothic Valentine's Day (think "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "Corpse Bride", "The Phantom of the Opera", Gomez and Morticia Addams, vampire romance, skeleton couples and shared coffins, anatomically correct hearts, black cat plush with a red heart) is fun for those of us who can never get enough Halloween. This is what you get when you ask the perky goth XD

I miss some of the big formal floral arrangements like 3 had, the Romanza set and some of the others, it would be really nice to have some great wedding swags and things again.

I personally feel Valentine's Day is just another day where everyone is encouraged to buy stuff. Cynical, I know!

Not exactly. In the USA we just like to have mini holidays for the kids haha so many schools will do a card and candy exchange to get the kids involved. Valentines day for most people here is about celebrating relationships and romance. Many communities don't actually decorate for valentine's day like Halloween or Christmas.

That's interesting, here's another huge cultural difference: to me (and in France in general), Valentine's day has nothing to do with kids; we don't do anything in school related to Valentine's day, it's only about love, eventually secret love, but certainly not the kind of "love" a kid could have for their teacher. I've just found an article about how this happened in US (and then in UK too, Amy?) So, in US, Valentine's day is also about friendship or love for a communauty?

Some items themed around a classic romantic getaway? The kind of trip where one might get whisked away for a Valentines surprise. It could have things like a weekend bag and set of two plane tickets poking out of an envelope, maybe accompanied by a valentines card, or bunch of red roses, or even one of those reeeeally oversized teddy bears holding a love-heart. Or seeing as we're all staying put for now, perhaps some romantic table settings like a bottle of champagne on ice and fancy meal for two at home.
