It does sort of make me think, right--there might be people like Gianna who also secretly want to be calmer and gentler and not have to constantly code switch as an unbothered roughneck when they're around the rest of the family, people who have been desperately waiting for a Bingus for once in their lives, or have been waiting for Stahli to befriend a Bingus so that he stops bringing shady friends around. People who are sick and tired of worrying about whether or not someone in the family has gotten to prison or has been irresponsible and will come begging them for money again. People who just want a friend that will cook with them instead of play mean-spirited pranks on them. Bingus just being himself made them more comfortable being themselves.
