🕑 Added 2022-12-06 16:21:52 +0000 UTCI'm just gonna come out and say it. I think this is one of the best things I've ever written. At least in terms of sheer lyrical intricacy. I worked and re-worked the lyrics on this one for about 2 weeks before I was finally happy with it! I'm immensely proud of this one!
And let's face it. Cute animals? Occult rituals? Was I NOT gonna write a song about this one?
Fun fact! I recorded Clauneck's spooky tarot verse once but wasn't super happy with it. Then I recorded the last verse where the lamb is basically screaming. And in doing so totally shredded my voice, but in a way that unlocked a totally new lower register I don't normally have access to. So I went back and used it to re-record Clauneck with and it sounds SO much better. So that deep raspy voice is the reult of some pretty messed up vocal chords.
I also did some extra layers of Clauneck where I was actually breathing in instead of out as I performed, creating a really weird demonic sound. It's there in the mix but only very subtly behind the main vocal!

I'm so glad you're proud of this Stupes, but don't sell any of your other songs short; the lyrics are always absolutely wonderful. Your lyrical skill is up there with the best artists in the world.
After this beauty of a song, have your voice a rest. With an incredibly catchy beat and insanely well-versed lyrics, it instantly became one of my favorites.
