Commentary
Me: "Should I design and draw these extras whose identities aren't important, or should I use silhouettes?"
The headache I had that almost made me take a sick day: "I have a suggestion."
Witnesses!
I felt I needed to address whether other people in the bowling alley noticed anything at exactly this point, or it would later be people saying "did you notice something strange earlier?"
"No."
"Nor did I."
"I'm glad we had this conversation."
Mostly, I wanted to confirm that our heroes aren't about to be swarmed by a bunch of curious people wondering what just happened, and to present the possibility of no real witnesses.
But I also had the thought "what if there was at least one real witness, but they wanted nothing to do with it?"
And thus did this guy return!
And I guess he canonically knows something magic is up with that cat-like girl and her friends now, because, well, in case a reminder is needed...

My headcannon is Chicken man called an ambulance for the magi-cop that accidentally cast self-destruct on his own wand before fleeing into the night.

Yay chicken man! Also, this is a great setup for the future, when he needs to reach out to someone for help and really doesn't want to go to the authorities. Now he knows someone to go to. :) So not only is he back this time, but he's virtually guaranteed to make two appearances later. Probably much later.
