Actually, I just drew Lucy and Diane in a hug while saying "yes".
"...Well, that works too, I GUESS."

I first thought it was odd how Lucy is hugging Diane... then I thought about it and felt it was natural for Lucy be give a protective hug. Then I thought about it more while typing and realised that given their history and attitude toward guys, and probably expecting guys to hit on them, it was a logical defense to show a display of affection to indicate that they are not available.
