it's probably the only comic I've been reading since it's year 1 that is still around and I've stuck with :-) But no wonder.. it's awesome :-)

Congratulations, and my goodness I guess I've been reading this comic for just about twenty years now! (I started shortly before Grace's party.) It was I think the second or third webcomic I ever read, and it's stuck around at or near the top of my favorites ever since. (Actually, maybe the first? Digging through some old backups, it's the first one I have a saved link to, April 5th 2005, and several others I know I read early on are saved over the following days, so that might have been when I started reading.) ...Okay, this has inspired me to dig *deep* into old filesystems, and I now suspect EGS was the very first webcomic I ever read. I found a saved file that I'm pretty sure is the recommendation list that introduced me to the whole concept of comic strips on the internet (sadly, without enough metadata to tell me where it came from), and EGS was the first entry on the list, with the most glowing recommendation. Given that file's creation date, I probably started reading in March 2005, or maybe as late as April, as I didn't have reliable internet access at the time. Anyway, squirrels are cool.

Congrat's ! I've been following EGS since very nearly your first posted comic. It's one of the few web comics that I have gone back and read over from the beginning. .... Also, I like squirrels. I'm in California, and some of our grey squirrels have black fur. (Not a different species, just al variation if fur color.) Anyway, Thanks for the many years of fun, and I hope you can continue for a long time.

I started reading during sister. You've been there in some of the darkest times of my life. I won't say you saved my life with cliff hangers, but there were a few times that waiting until Monday was one of my reasons for putting off doing anything permanent. You were there before I learned I was bi, gender fluid, autistic. I didn't learn those things from you, but when I did learn them, thanks to you I wasn't alone. I can't put into words what your work means to me, so I'll just say Thank you.

I actually can't tell you when I started reading this. I think it was while I was in school, which would make it 2003 😬 Lost track of it for a bit - just wasn't reading any web comics at all - and then picked it back up 2008. Had to way to see what comics I'd been reading before - cuz I did it from a school computer - so I could only pick back up the ones I could remember. Thankfully, this one's pretty memorable 😁

I first found this comic in 2004, during the Painted Black arc. I don't remember how I found it, but once I started reading it, I was hooked forever. :) It's amazing how far it's come since then, and I still love it so much.

Amazing to think I’ve been reading the comic for that long. I wasn’t there from the beginning, but close to it. I started with the first Sister arc and have been here ever since.

Man, I was CERTAIN that this was going to be just an excuse to post a cute picture of Grace. My disappointment is immeasurable. EDIT: Oh whoops I meant to also congratulate you on the 23rd anniversary of EGS! Been loving the comic for about the last 18 years, and eagerly await every new post!
