I wasn't entirely sold on what I'd written for this comic before I got to "bowling platform shoes."
Bowling platform shoes are why this comic exists as it does.
I'm not entirely sure what imaginary Susan is doing? I sort of imagined her doing something with her hair? Maybe some of it got in front of her, and she thought "I'm too COOL for THAT," and she brushed it aside?
Or maybe she's making sure her nails are as cool as she needs them to be? She needs to make sure they're cared for just enough to make clear to everyone how little she cares.

Unfortunately, while my headcanon says that's canon, it also says that's future. The lab with that button does not yet exist in that configuration. The button *does* exist, but it's currently somewhere in Tedd's basement. I'd say hidden, but that wasn't the intention. It's not secured from prying eyes as much as it is stored someplace where it'll be safe until it can be properly installed.

Just go to Tedd's lab and push the button. Everything will take care of itself from there.

I'd say she always was, but was hiding it behind a façade. After some introspection, and becoming a regular character, we get more insight into her mind.

Was Diane always this insecure, or has becoming a viewpoint character undermined her?
