Scarecrow: Keep or Cut?
🕑 Added 2025-03-01 22:08:52 +0000 UTCHeya, I'm trying to finalize my plans for 3.0.0 as I work on the 3rd playtest and one thing I have been unsure about for a bit is whether or not to keep the Scarecrow in the current plans. I know we are way past Halloween in which it was intended to be added, which really isn't an issue for me, I am just unsure of whether or not to shelve the idea for now and potentially bring it back in a future update or for next Halloween.
My current thoughts have me considering if it may just be better to cut the Scarecrow and wrap the full 3.0.0 update with only 3 new preds so I can get to the struggle mechanics rework sooner, or if I should just stick it out and take the extra time needed to add a 4th pred.
I wanted to poll you guys to see how you feel, if I should just shelve the Scarecrow for a while to get this update done faster or if I should keep going as planned.

I say perhaps take your time with it. No rush in my opinion

I say cut it for now. It sounds hard to implement and that's more work for you and I feel like what we have already is great. It also feels a bit too gimmicky imo, hope that's not too harsh but I feel like the specific purpose it would serve felt a bit too niche, more fitting for a specific event update, i.e Halloween
