Introducing: The Silverfish!
🕑 Added 2024-12-14 11:18:08 +0000 UTCShe'll be a new common pred found underground. The silverfish predator will sometimes spawn a normal silverfish upon death, but if it has gained weight, it can spawn multiple. She will also be a little bit shorter than the other preds in the mod.
Interestingly, she'll have less health than other mobs, but will have much more natural armor points. And while I've decided she won't be tameable, I am going to look into the possibility of being able to feed her ore blocks while she is under the glowberry high effect to essentially get multiple of that ore, probably even more than you can normally get with fortune 3, with the tradeoff that she eventually becomes too full to do more for a bit.
As for weight gain, she will be unique in the fact that she will not have any chest, even when she has max weight gain. As an insect with an exoskeleton, it will only expand to fit a larger rear, making her a bottom heavy pred~

It is mildly disappointing that she isn't tameable, considering she is the first of the new pred-type. Oh, well, another one for the dungeon zoo it is. Will she have rare variants like the zombie does with her belly piercings?

Her texture is looking real cool, could she maybe have more chance to spawn in Strongholds or mineshafts aswell?
