The Meadow Ruins Battle Map

Hello again! This is map number three for the month of May, and is a scene that I've been meaning to paint for a long time. Somehow, despite them being such important places in fantasy worlds and interesting places to do battle in, I have so few ruins!
Often I will begin drawing and, much later, realize that I've been inspired by something beneath the surface of my mind. For these ruins it was a mixture of Tales from Earthsea and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, both of which feature vast green plains and stout, stone buildings.

Tales from Earthsea (2006)
As for the map variants (coming tomorrow) I plan to convert the lush grass into snow and sand for some much-loved winter and desert variants! And, for the third, I'm thinking about some fierce rain to echo the weather here the past few days. Thank you for your patience.
I hope these ruins can inspire a fun encounter for your game - have fun!

This one's nighttime version is in the PDF's Layers as "Map, Dark" :) Here's some info on how to access the layers: https://2minutetabletop.com/faq/printing-guide/

Haha it really is perfect for cover mechanics, huh!

Used this just recently DMing the Essential Kit. The young white dragon intercepted the party and this was perfect. One of the players is very new so it was a fantastic teaching tool. Cover Mechanics and You: A Not-Yet-Dead Adventurer's guide.
Once again planning something out and going "man, I need SOMETHING to go here" when I got an email with a new map that'd fit in perfectly. Players beware, there's a reason the middle path doesn't have any villages in it (anymore)

Ooo that's a really pretty map!!! I feel a variant that could work really well would be some sort of wheat field? I"ve been trying to look for maps that capture such an image yet it seems no one has really done that sorta thing before, usually opting for more grasslands than anything, but a golden dense field of wheat could look really cool on this map!!!

Awesome! Not sure if you're going to release an asset version of this, but I would love the outlines of the buildings for assets, if it's not too hard to pull them out!
