This movie will forever be my favourite movie. I remember when I first watched this, it was when I was depressed and was being bullied at school. it had been going on for years and it took me so long to realise that being mental tricked and harassed wasn't normal or the right thing. this movie helped so much in my life and i've rewatched this movie SOOO many times lol it just never gets old. its a real special gem and Its a master piece in my eyes

I personally believe that Koe no Katachi stands head and shoulders above Your Name; especially if you read the manga for Koe no Katachi. But with that being said, I've always felt that comparing the two of them is pointless and I've never understood why people go to war over the two of them. They're both fantastic but they tackle completely different genres/subject matters. One's a time-travelling fantasy romance that explores melancholy and unnamable longing and the other is a deep-dive into the effects of bullying/depression and learning to love yourself.

Will was me this entire movie. Ueno to me is unredeemable. I've read several cases for her and I just cannot do it. She was not some kid who had been wronged and was just mean. She was physically abusive and yeah I hate her period. I prefer Your Name over this movie but it's still really good.
