Some shows explore that "cycle of violence" theme or have an arc about it, but AoT really goes deep into the problem. It's crazy that this theme is only introduced in s4 but you can look back at the previous seasons and see that it was all intentionally building up to this. This show actually demonstrates the complexity of the cycle of hatred and violence in such a deep and real way. I find it so fascinating that the viewer is strung along and fooled in the process. Re-watching the show is a new experience once you see from a new perspective after four seasons of development. This story is such a masterpiece.

I just realized after hearing Sam talk about Falco being a free person mentality I honestly can see Falco as being a FOIL character to Eren where Falco is okay with living a mediocre life day to day but still feels free and doesn’t care to fight he just wants peace but as in Eren in the past and now Eren never felt free even when his life stable and free from fighting Eren always was too concerned with the world outside the walls to realize that while growing up he lived a perfect life away from fighting and death

Eh there are some intersections with GoT but some of the parallels you guy mention are present just in most good storytelling so idk if we should draw such heavy comparisons. Isayama did watch GoT so there's that.
