Definitely a wild and unexpected surprise for sure but a welcomed one! Very Excited for the 3rd season!

The third Witcher game actually begins with Geralt helping Emperor Emhyr to find Ciri, basically immediately spoiling she’s his daughter, so I’m glad you all were mostly blind for the reveal.
