In a lot of stories, a new hairstyle is indicative of entering a new period of their life. It's just like how Blake cut her hair to show that she was moving on from the time she'd spent tormented by Adam. In Jaune's case, he's finally entering a sort of "post-Pyrrha" point of his life. He's finally found some closure, after visiting Argus. Now that he's in Atlas, truly working toward doing some measurable good, he finally feels confident and stable enough to try a new look (that some of his more fashion-forward friends helped him pick out, no doubt lol)

I really don't like Jaune's new look if I'm honest. He looks so much more generic and kind of... like an NPC xD What have they done with his eyes? He also feels a bit different... I know he was always a bit of an idiot but now it feels overly forced considering how serious and burdened he was before. It almost feels like they pushed the reset button on him...

I don't really ship Clover and Qrow like that but they have a great dynamic. It's nice to see Qrow feel more at ease, especially after Volume 6 where he felt so much pressure, so much guilt about his semblance. Having someone around that can somewhat 'nullify' his bad luck semblance must be such a relief for him.

So excited for this season because finally we can talk about Qrow x Clover. Love this ship so much lol I love the Ace team. And Blake gets the bisexual bob. Canon event for bi women in animation, I swear XD

Idk if Blake's semblance is a play on cats having 9 lives, but i do think it's a metaphor for dissociation. Blake herself describes it as an empty copy that takes the hit for her. This is a common coping mechanism for trauma survivors
