Also i thought it was funny earlier when you said that they can't kill off Koichi cause it's only episode 3 and Josuke's grandpa had just died. And I was like oh yeah, that's a great point... Except it was then that I remembered, Jonathan freaking' Joestar exists 😭 Poor guy

Reunion

Yeah even though they were hit and miss for me, the battles in part 3 never felt half assed. And you can make the case that almost every stand was iconic. Like the first Oingo Boingo episode, perfection. I don't know if something like that could ever be replicated on that level again.

I am awaiting koichi's character backstory for sure and why his stand is currently an egg lol

I think I would agree, I think visually the battles have improved and visually are stunning - but I did love the fights in part 3 a LOT as well - they were so dramatic ahh

I love Koichi so much hes probably my favorite character in part 4

Reunion

Rewatching this now, the stand battles have improved so much. I feel like Araki really started to get what a good stand battle was somewhere around Jotaro's fight with D'arby the Gambler and just kept improving from then on. Thinking about the stand battles in early Part 3 vs the ones here in early Part 4... it's like playing Rock'em Sock'em Robots and then suddenly being introduced to Pokemon XD
