In the defense of most people in the once piece world, most pirates are awful people who steal, kill, and other bad stuff. Luffy and shanks crews are exceptions.

Even though this arc is filler, it’s still enjoyable.

It may be non cannon, but one thing that happens unintentionally foreshadows something a long time down the road. If you know, you know.

You may already know, not sure, but this arc is the first completely non-canon filler in the series. I don't want to say any specifics to avoid hints for the future, but some things in these episodes could be considered a bit contradictory to canon events and confusing later on if you don't know that. Either way, loving your reactions and enthusiasm for the series.
