oh I can actually see that being a net positive for getting rid of spell engines after all this clusterfuck. They are the ones that use them the most.

and if there is, its a nice snack

I imagine there is nothing in that jungle willing to get in apophagorga’s way. It’s good to see the pure blades are helping.

same here. i really hope it DOESN'T happen, but i feel like there's a high chance it will.

I can't shake the feeling that Gaius will have to give up his anchor for the loops to close out and he and Mirian won't be able to have their time together.
Leaf
WE need this

I feel like with Akana going full total-war and no-quarter, its really gonna balkanize everyone against them pretty quickly once the initial blitz has happened and some days have passed for first-hand survivor accounts to enter the rumour mill. Chucklefuck McGee can poison the will initially with hidden letters to all sorts of people, but thats a harder brew to nurture when there's so many counter-voices to drown them out. Especially since we saw the prepared messages are likely to have other flaws- namely how he wasn't aware of Mirian going by Nezzar when he tried to tilt the new Praetorian Guard leader
Tanna
IIRC a Torrviol student who Mirian went to combat classes with way at the beginning. I think he helped her measure her spell power for the first time. His sister is one of the mercenaries involved in the coup in the capital.

So fascinated to see where this goes! Sorry though, can I get a quick refresher on who Daith is?
YarrowFlowers
yes, she brings up how it was a surprise that she could still communicate with Zhuan and Xecatl in the dream without it.
Daniel Andrews
Just to be clear, Miriam definitely removed her anchor?
Mr NerfGun
Eh, perhaps it will go the Nazi Germani or Japan Empire way. Get a complete governmental change and make everyone forget.

Christmas came early!

If Mirian wins there is going to be a lot of bad blood between Akana and the rest of the world.

I love what you've done with all the various perspectives! You've done a good job at giving each character we see an individual voice, which does a lot to make the world feel big. Framing everything through people's pre-loop experiences for these non-prophet POVs is great. Every non-prophet is important to some degree, which I love. All the gabriel/Liuan propaganda makes me nervous for what kind of disasters they'll cause...
YarrowFlowers
love seeing the chaos of this war from all these smaller POV’s. It makes it feel real and alive and ratchets up the tension far better than an infinite number of prophetary war councils. I cannot wait for many things to come but most specifically, I want to see everyone’s response to Gaius not betraying Mirian and the reason why.

Please sign my petition for an Apophagorga POV. The people need to finally get the perspective of the REAL main character
