EARLY ACCESS RELEASE - v0.18.8!
🕑 Added 2023-05-15 04:35:12 +0000 UTCThe weekly update has been released!
This week you can finally repair the construction yard in Hillside, which will allow you to start constructing unique buildings in certain conquered districts! Only The Glades has a unique construction option for now, but many more will be added in future updates! Also, you can now get a permanent stat boost to MC's ARC and PHY stats, there's more scavenging options, new lore and also a naughty event with Molly in the garden! I hope you enjoy! :)
PLEASE READ!
IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS, LINUX OR MAC IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT OVERWRITE THE OLD UPDATE WITH THE NEW ONE! JUST EXTRACT THIS UPDATE TO A BRAND NEW FOLDER AND PLAY! THE GAME WILL TRANSFER YOUR SAVE FILES FOR YOU!
KNOWN ISSUES:
Due to the necessity of changing the User Interface some screens (such as the skill, inventory, fighter and crafting screens) haven't had a UI pass and look kinda janky. All this will be fixed in the next few updates, so please bear with me until then. Thank you!
CHANGELOG:
- CONSTRUCTION YARD: New building in Hillside! The Construction Yard, once built, will allow you to construct unique buildings in other districts (Training Ground only for now - more buildings coming in future updates)!
- TRAINING GROUNDS: New building in The Glades! The Training Grounds, once built, will allow you to increase the MC's PHY stat permanently by one! Also, may have more uses later!
- Investigate: Investigating Hillside Development will now reveal the Construction Yard!
- Investigate: Investigating The Glades will now reveal the Training Grounds!
- Investigate: Investigating The Glades will now reveal the The Clearing! Revisit it for some peeks into MC's childhood, or Pixie being weird (five unique, randomised lines for each)!
- Scavenge: You can now find Construction Materials when selecting "Search for Supplies" in Hillside (after finding the Yard!)
- Scavenge: You can now find Vegetables when selecting "Search for Supplies" in The Glades!
- Scavenge: You can now find Timber when selecting "Search for Supplies" in The Glades (after finding the Training Grounds!)
- Molly: You can now be naughty with Molly in Act Three! Just talk to her while she's in the garden!
- Cooking: Now when you learn your first recipe you will also get the ingredients for it, so they're not listed as "unknown" in the recipe book
- Misc: Changed the Qarinah dream in Act Three so it only shows up once, and gave the "speaker" a namebox
- Misc: Tweaked a couple of the district location backgrounds. Trying something out
- Bug: Picking up the Sugar Water recipe was erasing your previous recipes. These have been restored!
- Bug: While in the SUPPORT position, Rachel was incorrectly being called Ophelia. Very embarrassing
- Bug: Players could access Roxy's character card before meeting her - this SHOULD be fixed, but let me know if not, as the code is a little complex
- Bug: The simulation in which he was trapped is broken. Shaken, bloodied but unbowed, Typo Hero emerges from the cave and looks up at the Dread Arc's Tower once more. Brushing a fragment of crystal from his shoulder, he sets off once again...
I hope you enjoy this week's update! Next Early Access update will be Monday, 22nd of May.

My understanding of what Arc meant was that, once Act 3 starts, until you're able to access the Nexus or the Farm, you won't be able to see any of the children you've already had; in the meanwhile, none of the women that you could get pregnant in Act 2 will get pregnant during Act 3 - they don't exactly have time to take a week off to be pregnant (well, most of them), and even if they could, there's nowhere to take care of them, except the Manor, which isn't exactly secure - at least, not yet it isn't I imagine that eventually we'll get access to these things again, but that will probably be many updates away first
You mean love level four or love level five? If five, then you can't get five yet (everyone is locked to four except for Gwen and Chloe who start at five) - that will happen in Act Three, once I code it in. If you mean four, just keep learning magic from Lyx. That's how you get all her hearts :)

Hey Arc how do I get lyx's last heart?
Thank you, and I'm glad that it connected with you! I was a little nervous about this one :P
I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
No, I didn't - nothing has been changed :)
Mimic
that legitimately brought tears to my eyes. well done

Did the developer change the game to where all Power Usage to convert enemies (like Gwen) requires Shatter?

To clarify, have you removed pregnancy entirely? What happens to the children I already had? Or does some order of events in the current version prevent any pregnancies after a certain plot event?

Love the update getting more lore on everything and the MC lost connection to the glade plus the art looks great
I'm glad that it could move you... this one felt a little like exposing an old wound for people to stare at, but the responses so far have been extremely touching. So thank you. As for time not passing, I was torn on whether or not to implement it, honestly... the clearing is a little oasis, not only for the MC but for the player, too. It's separate from everything that's going on around it, both the in-game war and the external mechanics. I don't know, it just felt "wrong" somehow to force a time pass on it...? Silly of me, probably, and I'll likely add the time change in a later update. The recipes thing is totally my bad, though. I fixed the bug, tested it, saved the dev build and then went back a few days later to do a minor tweak... and didn't notice it broke the fix because the saves I was using were all post-original-fix. D'oh! Sorry about that. Fixed in the next update, I pinky-promise :P
Just so you're aware, the rehabilitation centre, which was mentioned in this update, will be implemented in next week's update.
Sengoku Rance is - bar none - my favourite adult game of all time, and the war map is a very deliberate (and very amateur) homage to that incredible system. So saying that my little game reminds you of Sengoku Rance is one of the nicest compliments I've ever received! :)
Thank you. This one... dug a little deeper than most.

The memories in the clearing brought tears to my eyes. But revisting the clearing doesn't seem to cause time to pass, which I suspect is a bug.. "Bug: Picking up the Sugar Water recipe was erasing your previous recipes. These have been restored!" Sadly they still seem to be missing.
Wild Bill
With regret, I'm withdrawing support until such time that the system for recruiting captured enemies is overhauled. In the previous act we could freely use Awaken *or* Shatter to recruit others to our side, that there is no longer a way for a lighter character to do so is a dealbreaker.

I like how this is shaping up, reminds me a bit of Sengoku Rance, one of my all time favourites (give it a try for inspiration if you've never seen it before).
Blockyblob
this was very beautiful
Not for a while, I'm afraid - war is not the best time to be having kids, and with access to both the farm AND the Nexus disabled, there'd be nowhere to keep them except the Manor... and that's most definitely not safe.

When will pregnancy be an option again?
