I was thinking the same thing. Because I remember when Ryougo was was talking about skate always doing this that she runs away meets some guy always comes back to the sea

Ok So....in the story Sen-Ren was handed over to Vandu and it's believed Vandu murdered her bt instead what if they turned her into a mermaid (Skate) and since knowledge was one of the things she craved the most cursed her to have a short memory of her past self. But every once and awhile Sen-Ren would remember and run away that would match with Ryougo's statement how Skate would every once and awhile run away bt would always come back. Once Sen-Ren lost control the Skate personality would take over and try to return to the sea. Plus the fact that Skate knows so many languages bc Sen-Ren learned them from god.
