And yet... and yet...Shadow's tail is wrapped (quite gently, it appears) around his wrist. Is this an expression of affection and willingness or is it a preliminary to outrage?

Like I said in an earlier response, there is apparently a difference between rubbing the tail, form of affection and tugging at the tail. (I had to go look that up in the archives, mid way through Chapter 3 if anyone was looking for it).

I'm betting he does. Keep in mind that he hasn't *tugged* on the tail, there is a difference.

Agreed. And also, I would think Shadow might have some real concerns about Tim's behavior. I'd like to see her express them, if she does.
