LOLBut I have a question about Pokemon. I googled and found that Nintendo Switch will have Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Eevee coming out on Nov. If I want to start playing Pokemon, it's ok for me to start on this series right? (I'm not sure if it is cannon or not) (*´д｀*)

It seems more like a remake of Yellow combined with Pokémon Go type mechanics.

Not really, since the gameplay is completely different imo. Best wait till the real Pokemon switch game coming out next year, or so they promised.
