EARLY ACCESS // nouveau mermaids
🕑 Added 2021-03-02 09:42:20 +0000 UTCI fused together two of my biggest inspirations: art nouveau and mermaids! My number one artistic inspiration is Alfonse Mucha, and I stumbled upon some of his sketches and rough work which is even more beautiful than his finished posters in my opinion. So I chanelled that aesthetic into some mermaid art. It was so satisfying! Hope you like these!

Mermaid omg...i love it. Actually i did'nt know this artist Alfonse Mucha but my friend told me about him when we met one of his artwork in Paris and i like too. (i'm from France hey)

hey rohan! My approach is just to observe the art closely and try to copy it. It definitely helps me to try and transfer the style onto a different thing, like taking mucha's style and putting it on a mermaid, so that I analyze the style more and observe more critically! I think in the end it's something more intuitive, since it's your own interpretation of the art style that drives the study.
