I wanted to take advantage of this post to let you know that after two weeks of intensive study, I was able to finish the Asuka model. I'll also take this opportunity to tell you about some updates to all my studies 🗿✨
As you can see in the small GIF, I was studying the use of controlled shadows in depth, as it was something I had been wanting to apply to my models for some time. I also wanted to add that I will probably end up using the Eevee engine instead of Cycles, due to the convenience it offers for anime models. This does not mean that the models cannot be used in Cycles, but honestly, the results will not be the same, especially when it comes to shading 😵💫
I also took the opportunity to study the painting of the entire body a little, as I felt that it was an area that was not 100% polished, but I am happy with the final result. Finally, I made some last corrections to the hair, as I was not satisfied with the previous result. Now it is more similar to what is seen in the anime 🗿👌🏻
Now I'll focus on everything related to shapekeys and adjustments for rigging. I'll also be doing some tests with face tracking, and I hope to make progress with that, although if it's too complex, I'll let you know. However, my priority is to have the model rigged in a few weeks so you can enjoy her and her outfits more comfortably.
