VB0.2 Release (Updated Bug Fix)
🕑 Added 2025-07-19 08:57:39 +0000 UTCThe long worked on VB0.2 is finally here. I'm sorry it took so long to get this update out to you all. Hopefully you'll enjoy the new content. I ran out of time to thoroughly test it before going away for a couple of weeks - but I've fixed whatever bugs I was able to find. Please let me know if you find any. As I mentioned before - this is a bit of a rough cut. I've tried to make it as smooth as I could and its not as rough as I thought it was going to be - but please let me know if there are any scenes you find that are still particularly rough and I'll try to a patch for them along with any bugs when I get back before launching into VB0.3.

New character themes for Rhianon and Thalia.

Exploration scenes for the City of Dawn's Edge, the Arcane Academy, the Wilderness and the Cliffs of Sumakh
New notification and time progression system (still playing with how long a day should be - currently 30mins real world = 1 day in game)
There's a boatload of content for Brynhild (and other minor characters) already written and assets ready for in this release that are sadly inaccessible for now. The priority for the next release will be making them accessible. You will find as the game goes on and your relationship level with her increases (along with her weight) that you may want to revisit exploration scenes in later versions - you might just get a surprise.
A couple of final notes - I had a LOT of fun with the Feastspawn. I think that's going to have to come back in future releases.
The scenes in the Wandering Wyvern and Black Rose were also quite fun to work on. Though unfortunately, they're among the scenes that are still a little rough. I will need to come back to them.
I've popped an Android release on this one for you. I'm not really able to test that though unfortunately.

Had a bit of time between the weekend away and leaving the country for summer holidays so found the bug Goblin King reported - was only triggering if Brynhild is present on first discovery of Dawn's Edge due to an indentation mismatch. Files have been updated and this bug should now be fixed - no more infinite loop.

That’s weird. I didn’t encounter that behaviour with dawns edge travel. There is a point where continue story is meant to loop (after you find the academy you should get title splash and to be continued when clicking that option.) Turns out Brynhild's presence was what was breaking Dawn's Edge discovery.

Travel to Dawns Edge just goes into an infinite loop. Not really sure how to unlock any content. Continue story just shows the title screen and loops. Few bugs here.
