Tom Petty plays the music of my soul I swear.

You didn't notice that "Eddie" was played by Johnny Depp. Surprised you missed that!!

More Tom Petty! Girl on LSD or Something Good Coming! Since you mention story telling, Roger Waters once said he would have given his right arm to have written "Powderfinger" or "Helpless" by Neil Young because of the vivid lyricism and storytelling. "Cortez The Killer" is another Neil Young story that takes you for a ride. If/when you react to Helpless react to the Last Waltz version where Neil is singing with The Band or hold off on it if you plan on reacting to the Last Waltz in its entirety (you definitely should).

More Tom Petty is always a good thing. One of only a handful of artists who I can just listen to for hours on end at certain times in life. Really glad I got to see him perform live (in 2008 at the Outside Lands music festival)

Two Tom Petty songs I think you'll really like as well are "Even the Losers" (my personal favorite) and "Listen To Her Heart."

Johnny Depp wasn't a superstar at the time this video was made. His main screen credits before this video were 21 Jump Street (TV series) and Edward Scissorhands.
