The video was misleading because the trumpet had no mute in it. But yeah, what Randy said

Great singer Mick Hucknall…..The Simply Red album Stars is one of my favourites…..Amber checkout the song For Your Babies by Simply Red its superb 💜
Robert Lopez
He does have one of the greatest voices of the 80s.
Rowan
He got critical acclaim but for some odd reason they don't get the attention they deserve now. They should be in the legacy category of reactions. George Michael as well but he gets more than Mick does.
Rowan
Yes!!! There's two for Praying For Time. I'm assuming the lyric one is the one you're talking about? My favourite song, ever, is by GM. A Different Corner. Spinning The Wheel is a close 2nd.

My Mom thought this was Carly Simon when this song first came out. The lead singer used to date Catherine Zeta-Jones. Ooh, what a lucky man he was.

“Praying For Time” is such an underrated song. Much better than “Freedom” IMHO. Now, the video? Not so much.

Jewel? I thought you would request You Were Meant for Me, or Who will Save Your Soul, or Foolish Games, or Standing Still. 😉 Actually I think she and Rob did react to You Were Meant For Me.
Jewel
Hi Amber! I have a request please. Maybe one day give ”Jump They Say” by David Bowie a listen. That’s if you haven’t already heard it. 80s Bowie was awesome! Thanks!

Tim, they had two number one singles, were nominated for three Grammy Awards, made twelve studio albums, and sold more than fifty million albums. Just saying.
Heather
Yes!

👋🏿 I’m sorry but I have another request. “Grass is Greener by St. Paul and the Broken Bones. You’re Welcome.😊
Jason Johnson
😊 I have a request. Check out “Just an Illusion” by Imagination. 😊
Randy Burnett
I’m a trumpet player. That was the sound of a trumpet played with a mute in the bell called a Harmon mute. Very cool sound. Thank you for the reaction. Loved it!
Stephen Smyth
I love the video, filmed around the fishing town of Whitby in Yorkshire and the ruins of Whitby Abbey on the cliff top above. Famous as the place in the novel Dracula where the ship carrying him to England crashes on the rocks below.

As a child I remember this song being played frequently in the hood. And a lot of Sade which brought peaceful vibes when there wasn't always peace.
Rowan
He is criminally underrated. George Michael is as well.
Tim
Think he is talked about less is because Simply Red wasn't as commercially successful in pop culture as some other bands are who honestly don't have his voice. Why I love seeing you discover more than just what is played in a movie or whatnot. :)
Rowan
Girl. Vocals for days!
