I think the train scene towards the end, where Tobey has to stop the train, is one of the greatest superhero scenes ever. It's a raw performance, nothing glamorous, nothing but pure will and effort to save countless lives. Amazing!

Tim

The dialogue in these first two Spider-man films really shows how juvenile and shallow modern Superhero films have become.

Mark Adolph

This is my favorite of the Tobey McGuire movies

Heather

I agree 100% with the dynamic Peter Parker is equally good for different reasons. I love how Toby Maguire has little, smart ass comments, and Tom Holland is so awkward and clumsy, like a highschooler really would be. I graduated in 2002 when the first Toby Maguire Spider-Man movie came out and I loved all of them! Then I have a 16 year-old son who grew up with the Amazing Spider-Man movies but rewatched the Toby Maguire series with me when he was little. and now I have a six-year-old who has grown up with Tom Holland, so I have a love for all of them!!!

Robert Lopez

I love poetry myself and have written over 20 poems. One of my favorites that I think you would appreciate is "A Dream With In A Dream" by Edgar Allen Poe. What is your favorite poem? Loved your reaction and I'll see you next time.

Jayce

Oh gosh I haven't seen these movies in such a long time. I always loved these. I'm so happy Amber is enjoying them.

Tim

The best Spider-man movie ever made, followed by the first one Sony film. While Holland was a quippy MCU Spider-man and was the best part of his franchise- the supporting cast and stories of the films were kinda, blech.

Eric Willison

Few people know this but the actor who played the doctor in this movie who was examining Peter Parker played Spider-Man in the 1970s short-lived Spider-Man series for television.

Richard C

I don’t think she will react to next season until she finishes S4 on YouTube channel. Seems like that’s how she does BB.

Just Dave

I forgot how violent this movie was. It was especially violent for a Spider-Man movie which is considered kid friendly.

Karen Silvera

This week is very exciting for Dare Devil fans. I can't wait.

Karen Silvera

Wow. I didn't know this. Thanks for sharing.

Karen Silvera

And she's still alive! 97 years old now. She made her true mark on Broadway. She earned so many nominations and awards throughout her career. Such a treasure. I completely agree with you.

Ben Martin

Rosemary Harris was such an incredible Aunt May! She delivers some of the most important speeches and moments in these movies and adds emotional weight to Peter’s whole journey. What a legend.

Marvin Dawkins

Missing Breaking bad

Lauren Gray

J.K. Simmons is such a good J. Jonah Jameson

Brandon Wheeler

Thanks Amber!!!!! You made is so much fun for the millionth time! lol

Thaddeus Winterson

This was amazing to watch in theaters, especially the fights on the sides of buildings and the train scene. All these years later, it remains one of the best superhero movies ever. One thing that never got followed up on because the Toby movies came to an end: John Jameson, who was going to marry MJ, was a friend of Peter Parker introduced in Amazing Spider-Man issue 1. in the comics he brought home a gem from his moon mission and made it into a necklace. The stone turned him into a character who came to be called Man-Wolf. He also had connections to Captain America.

Catchermag

Watching these and the Andrew Garfield ones prior to the next MCU Spiderman movie was a very wise choice.

Melody Netherton

No judgement for enjoying kid shows! I love the avengers cartoon. I think you might have fun watching it with the kiddos. One of my favorites is where they go to Thors old school and he's embarressed because Loki has won like every academic award ever lol. Tony's voice actor does a great job too.

I am Jussina

as a Spider-Man comic book fan I was so happy when MJ said her iconic line Go gettum Tiger.

Spider man is the only marvel character to meet “the one above all” the most powerful creator of all in all of it creations and in each time was Peter’s Upset moments and almost did bad from what I read and he stepped in letting him know he’s his center

Jake Sisk

The first movie was a great introduction, It laid down the origin story, set everything up kinda like the perfect starting point for Spidey. Spider-Man 2 took everything to the next level. That’s what a sequel is supposed to do! It expanded on Peter’s struggles, really got into his personal battles and heartbreak, while still giving us some of the best superhero action we’d ever seen. And Doc Ock? Perfect casting. That movie just killed it all around.

Karl Kraus

I think robbie always had a feeling he knew peter was spider-man but i don't know how deep it went since i don't know the comic lore that well The 1994 cartoon shows a bit of it

Karl Kraus

Peter's internal struggle is straight from the comics, down to the shot that's the same as a panel in one of them, where he walks away from the costume he just placed in the trash can

Karen Silvera

I'm so happy you're watching these!

Karl Kraus

The tobey maguire movies do have more stylized action than the tom holland ones To reflect the comic book adaptations better

Karen Silvera

Tobi hurt himself in another movie. That delayed this movie. So the scene where he falls and his back was kind of a wink wink.

Jason Johnson

Whenever you get a chance, take a look at Marvel’s Daredevil’s TV show. It’s really really good!

Shaynge

Remember Dr. Conners

Arguably the best pre-MCU Marvel movie? One of the top...three, I would have to say. And it still stands up a great movie today. Great cast. This franchise set the standard for comic book movies for quite a few years.

Cheri Winn

Girl please react to Purple Rain:) You guys said it would be the first movie you'd react to when you launched your movie channel a long time ago. You'll love it even though Prince's character in the movie is an a-hole:)

K Dub

Arguably one of the best comic book movies put out.🤓 Thank you for the Spidey binge watch to start off the weekend!!! That moment when Amber saves my Friday!🥰💝👌👍🏾👏🏾🍿🥡🖥👀👌👏🏾
