Scene 20:
Control center
---
As lunchtime approached, Agent Queen Black—an African man with a handsome, elegant face, sporting an elvish-style headband crown, silver lipstick, and eyeshadow, dressed in a black suit with a white tie like the other Black Agents—went to the lab. He invited Professor Gangreen to have lunch at the Special Operations Room.
When they arrived, Igor, Jason, and Unit 4 were already comfortably seated in the soft sofas of the observation area. The coffee tables had been raised slightly, transforming the space into a temporary dining area. Queen Black guided Professor Gangreen to his own single couch, which looked incredibly soft and inviting.
"We'll begin the report soon, Dr. Gangreen," Queen Black stated smoothly. "Please excuse me."
"Thank you, Agent," Gangreen replied, settling into the plush seating.
Walter and another staff member had already brought in the food on a trolley from the kitchen. Walter poured a glass of champagne for Professor Gangreen. A plate of crispy bacon and a large stein of beer were set before Unit 4. Jason was happily feeding the big muscular soldier bacon, one piece at a time. Igor was also openly grabbing bacon from the same plate.
"You boys had fun this morning," Gangreen observed, a hint of something unreadable in his tone.
"Yes, Professor," Jason confirmed brightly.
"Oh, I wouldn't call it fun, Professor," Igor reply, "but it was sure exciting!"
Walter then brought Igor a Coke and Jason an orange soda, completing their meal setup.
---
Today's lunch was the classic fish and chips, filling the observation area with the wonderful aroma of crispy, golden-brown deep-fried goodness. As they all began to eat, Agent King White announced, "Thank you for coming, Dr. Gangreen. May we begin our report now?"
"You may proceed," Gangreen replied, taking a sip of his champagne.
"Thank you, Dr.," King White acknowledged. "Our mission was a complete success."
We've ensured the launch and return of the spaceship was not detected by any external surveillance. More importantly, we managed to make direct contact with the local government and successfully diverted the news reporters from our gate." He paused, a subtle sense of satisfaction in his voice. "As a result, all major news outlets are currently reporting about an alien spaceship that landed on the White House lawn."
He then added, "We'll begin negotiating with the local government representatives on screen in just a moment. "
"Establishing a secured connection now."
---
A large holographic screen flickered to life in the Special Operations Room. A staff member's voice echoed through the comms: "You're on, Mr. President."
The President, looking a bit uncomfortable even through the projection, began, "Please note, this meeting is to be off-record and highly classified."
Agent Pawn White, standing tall and confident, addressed the projection. "Greetings, Mr. President. I am Agent Pawn White. I will be representing Dr. Gangreen during this meeting. I believe you've gone through the terms we presented earlier today."
"Yes, about that," the President responded, his voice slightly hesitant.
"You have questions?" Pawn White's voice was calm, but carried an edge of expectation. "I thought our terms were clear and simple: you stay out of our hair, and we guarantee not to destroy you."
"No, no, the message was very clear," the President quickly corrected, almost stammering. "I... I was hoping to... um... perhaps we can... um... make a trade."
"Yes," Agent Pawn White replied, his gaze firm. "We have rare diamonds and gems, unique alloys, if that is what you want."
"I, um... I mean the spaceships you have," the President clarified, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Our technology is not for trade," Pawn White stated calmly. "However, we can provide assistance with our own operators if you have the need to request our help. As long as you guarantee our location remain secret from the public."
"Yes, of course," the President quickly agreed. "We will establish a no-fly zone and make the area restricted according to the coordinates you've provided. And... um... one more thing."
"Yes?" Pawn White stated.
"May we send diplomats?" the President asked.
"Yes, we will allow diplomats," Agent Pawn White confirmed.
---
"We request Wilbur Finletter as your ambassador,"
Agent Pawn White stated. "He is your war hero during the last Tomato War. And you may choose four other diplomats to accompany him, but no females."
The President, looking taken aback, responded, "But we must respect gender equality."
Agent Pawn White remained unmoved. "We will allow drag queens."
"But what about transgender individuals?" the President pressed.
"We don't allow females, trans or not, doesn't matter," Agent Pawn White clarified, his voice determined.
"Because we don't have ladies' rooms on the property. And we're not about to build any, that would make Lord Jason uncomfortable. Not that we have anything against females or transgender individuals. We will allow drag queens identifying as men. That's all."
---
"The Congress and Senate will not be happy to hear this," the President stated, a visible frown on his holographic face.
Agent Pawn White remained cold. "We can take care of that for you," he offered coolly. "If anyone wishes to oppose this decision, they will be dealt with."
"No, no!" the President quickly interrupted, waving his hands nervously. "I'll deal with them myself. We have everything under control."
"Very good then," Agent Pawn White replied, his tone conclusive. "We will pick up your diplomats tomorrow morning. Would that be all, Mr. President?"
"Yes, thank you," the President responded, clearly eager to end the conversation.
"Ending transmissions, now," Agent Pawn White announced, and the holographic screen displaying the President flickered off.
---
"Well done, Agents," Professor Gangreen declared, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.
Agent King White, immediately followed up. "Thank you, Dr. Now that we've taken care of the local government, shall we begin to take over the world?"
"No, no," Professor Gangreen quickly interrupted, shaking his head. "That will be enough for now."
"Yes, Dr. Gangreen, as you wish," King White responded smoothly, accepting the instruction. "In the meantime, may we have permission to expand the fleet and weapons? We will require the help of Lord Jason, of course."
"Yes, permission granted," Gangreen approved. "Just make sure the boy is not to be stressed."
"Yes, Dr. Gangreen, we always make sure Lord Jason is in good hands," King White assured him.
"Very well then," Gangreen said, rising from his seat. "I'll be returning to the lab. Igor, you're with me." He then glanced at Jason. "Jason, we need new toys."
"Yes, Professor!" Jason replied enthusiastically.
Unit 4 leaned down and gave Jason a soft kiss.
---
After Professor Gangreen and Igor left for the lab, Unit 4 carried Jason to the underground farm. Jason immediately went to the vibrant rainbow plant, touching its leaves and making them glow.
He then moved to a nearby metallic tomato plant, its surface sparkling under the artificial lights. Jason began to carefully search for any special-looking metallic tomatoes, his eyes scanning for unique shapes or characteristics that might hint at new creations.
---
He found three metallic tomatoes that immediately caught his eye. "Okay," Jason declared, holding them up, "let's bring these to the Professor!"
Unit 4 leaned down, effortlessly scooping him into his arm. The soldier then bounced his pectorals, first left, then right, a simple motion that still made Jason giggle. Unit 4 gave him a soft kiss, then left the farm, heading towards the lab.
---
When they arrived at the lab, Agent Pawn Black was already there. He look a similar to Pawn White but had distinct Asian features, dark hair, and wore a sleek black suit with a white tie.
"What do you have for us, Lord Jason?" Agent Pawn Black asked, his gaze settling on the boy.
Jason held out the three metallic tomatoes he had found. One was noticeably bigger, a bit flat and long, while another had an average, somewhat geometric shape. The last was a grape-like metallic tomato.
"May I?" Agent Pawn Black inquired, looking at Professor Gangreen.
"Go ahead," Gangreen responded.
Jason handed the three metallic tomatoes to Agent Pawn Black. He then carefully placed them into separate transformation chambers, and the familiar process began, the chambers humming with energy.
---
As the transformation chambers finished their work, three distinct new miniatures materialized within.
The first chamber revealed a sleek, highly detailed robot. Its metallic surface gleamed, and its articulated limbs suggested complex movement, hinting at advanced capabilities despite its small size.
The second chamber held a spaceship, noticeably larger than the previous ones. Unlike its predecessor, this vessel rested horizontally, its design suggesting it was built for different purposes or perhaps a different kind of deployment. Its broad, flat profile spoke of speed and stealth.
The third chamber contained a collection of what appeared to be puzzle pieces, numerous and complex, lying scattered within the confines of the chamber. Each piece was metallic, reflecting the lab lights, and seemed to belong to a larger, as-yet-unrevealed whole.
---
Agent Pawn Black immediately scanned the three new miniatures with his tablet. Information quickly populated the screen.
The first, the robot-like object, was identified as a multi-purpose articulated super armor, suggesting it was a versatile and powerful piece of combat technology.
The second, the larger spaceship, was confirmed to be a mothership carrier, indicating its capability to transport or deploy other craft.
And the third, the seemingly harmless puzzle pieces, were revealed to be components of a stealth satellite weapon system, hinting at a fearsome and secret orbital defense or offense.
---
Igor's eyes lit up with curiosity as he gazed at the miniature robot armor on the screen. "Can we go test this robot thing outside, Professor?" he asked eagerly.
"Fine, go," Professor Gangreen replied, waving a dismissive hand. "Just report back the results later."
"Yay!" Igor cheered. "Come on, kid, let's go see what this thing can do!"
Unit 4 scooped Jason into his arm, gave him a quick kiss, and followed Igor out of the lab. Agent Pawn Black, trailed discreetly behind them.
---
They took an elevator to the manor, then exited through the front door, stepping out onto the grand stone pathway. Igor carefully set the miniature robot armor on the ground. From a vial he'd presumably brought from the lab, he poured a generous amount of soldier goo over its metallic surface.
The transformation was immediate and impressive. The miniature began to swell, metallic plates shifting and expanding with a low hum. It grew rapidly, reaching its full, intimidating size in a matter of seconds. Standing before them was a towering, articulated super armor, almost twice as tall as Unit 4, its sleek, dark plating glinting under the afternoon sun. Its sheer scale was imposing.
---
"Whoa, this thing is huge!" Igor exclaimed, his voice filled with awe as he stepped closer, circling the fearsome mech armor suit. "How does this thing even work? I bet it's bulletproof."
Unit 4, still holding Jason in his arm, pulled his sidearm blaster and pointed it at the mech suit. "Hey, careful where you're aiming that thing!" Igor warned. Unit 4 fired a blaster pulse at it, but the shot was ineffective against the mech suit; it didn't even leave a scratch. "Looks like even your laser gun can't harm it," Igor observed.
Unit 4 grunted, then gently put Jason down. He swung his large pulse gun, which he carried with a sling over his shoulder, and aimed it at the mech suit. "No, wait, that thing's new!" Igor shouted, quickly hurrying to a safer distance. Jason covered his ears and flinched a little, anticipating the blast.
Unit 4 pulled the trigger, and the pulse gun released a powerful, bright flash and an alarming shockwave that slammed into the mech suit. Agent Pawn Black, meanwhile, coolly took notes on his tablet. The pulse left a noticeable burnt mark on the mech but caused no actual damage.
"Uh oh," Igor said, looking at Unit 4, "looks like your boyfriend needs bigger guns, kid. I could kick his butt piloting this thing." Unit 4 grunted in response, a low rumble in his chest.
Without another word, Unit 4 walked directly toward the mech suit and unleashed a powerful punch. The suit landed roughly ten yards away with a loud clang. "Hey, come on! That thing's new!" Igor protested. "You could have broken it!"
Unit 4 grunted again, then leaned down, gave Jason a kiss, and rubbed his scruffy jaw against the boy's face. He then began flexing his bicep. "Okay, big guy," Jason said, rubbing the soldier's massive bicep, "I know you're strong." The soldier then picked him up into his arm again.
Agent Pawn Black made a few hand gestures on his tablet, and the mech suit's boosters ignited, lifting it back up and hovering it smoothly to its original standing place.
"Whoa, you can remote control it?" Igor asked, impressed.
"Yes," Pawn Black confirmed. "It also has voice recognition."
"Hey, you made a dent!" Igor accused, pointing at the mech and looking at Unit 4. Unit 4 looked at Igor and flexed his bicep again with his free arm, then gave Jason a kiss.
"No, that wasn't a compliment!" Igor complained, looking at Unit 4 with an annoyed expression.
"Would you care to test pilot, Sir Igor?" Agent Pawn Black offered.
"Really? I get to be the first to pilot it?" Igor's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Of course," Agent Pawn White replied. "The commands are simple. Let me show you." Pawn White made a few more hand gestures, and the mech suit opened up, revealing a spacious pilot's seat within its armored shell.
---
Agent Pawn Black began showing Igor how to control the colossal mech suit, walking him through the various functions and commands on a control panel that appeared within the cockpit. "Okay, you're ready to go, Sir Igor," Pawn Black announced once the briefing was complete.
Igor, beaming with excitement, practically hopped into the pilot's seat. With a soft hiss, the suit sealed around him. "Oh wow, you've got to try this, kid!" Igor's voice crackled, amplified from inside the mech suit.
Unit 4 leaned down, giving Jason a gentle kiss, then continued to rub his scruffy jaw affectionately against the boy's cheek.
With a low hum, the mech's boosters ignited, and it gracefully lifted off the ground. Then, with surprising speed, it shot forward, a dark blur streaking away from the manor. It performed several dizzying loops and sharp turns high in the air, movements so agile they contradicted its immense size. They could distinctly hear Igor's excited screams echoing from within the suit as it executed each maneuver.
Finally, the mech suit returned, slowing down gracefully before stopping precisely at the same spot it had launched from in front of the manor. The cockpit hissed open.
Igor, looking a bit disruptive but thoroughly excited, pulled oneself out. "Whoa, hey kid, you really should try this thing!"
"No thank you," Jason said, shaking his head. "I don't want to throw up in that thing."
Unit 4 gave Jason a kiss, then playfully bounced his pecs, making Jason giggle.
"I guess I should go look for more tomatoes to make more of this," Jason thought, already thinking of his next task.
"Yes, Lord Jason, that would be for the best," Agent Pawn Black affirmed, a hint of approval in his voice.
Igor, still excited from the experience, turned to Jason and Unit 4. "You guys, go pick more tomatoes. I want to test this thing a bit more with Agent Pawn here."
---
A Shortage of Soldier Goo
Unit 4 and Jason arrived in the underground farm. Jason immediately went to touch the rainbow tomato plant again, its leaves glowing faintly in response to his touch. Then, he began searching the nearby metallic tomato plant for the specific shapes needed to create more of the impressive mech suits. He also found a few more of the ones for the satellite weapons and another two for the motherships.
"There's still time," Jason said, holding up his harvest, "if we hurry, we can get all these done before dinner."
Unit 4 leaned down, gave him a kiss, then lifted him into his arm, and they left the farm.
In the lab, Igor and Agent Pawn Black were busy in a report to Professor Gangreen about the mech suit. "Yes," Agent Pawn Black was explaining, "these mech suits are also highly customizable. They can be fitted with propulsion packs for extra range and weapon packs for additional firepower."
Just then, Unit 4 arrived with Jason in his arm.
"Good, you're here!" Igor exclaimed, looking up. "Did you find more of those tomatoes?"
"I found some, but not a lot," Jason replied, holding out the clear container filled with metallic tomatoes.
"Whoa, that's more than enough, kid!" Igor cheered. "I better get to work."
Igor and Agent Pawn Black immediately began the transformation process, placing the metallic tomatoes into the chambers. Unit 4 continued to rub his scruffy jaw affectionately against Jason's face.
Professor Gangreen waved them over. "Jason, over here please."
Unit 4, still holding Jason in his arm, walked towards Professor Gangreen. "Yes, Professor?" Jason asked.
Gangreen's expression was serious. "We have a problem."
"What kind of problem, Professor?" Jason inquired, a hint of concern in his voice.
"We're running low on soldier goo," Gangreen revealed.
"But Unit 4 still releases his goo every night," Jason responded, confused.
"Jason," Gangreen explained patiently, "since you've upgraded all of the super soldiers, most of them have stopped producing soldier goo. Even though Unit 4 is producing much more than before, it's still not enough. Not only do the plants in the underground farm and the manor's garden all rely on soldier goo as fertilizer, but some of our critical systems require it too."
He paused, then continued, "I know you two may not be happy, but I will need to ask Unit 4 to work day shifts at the command center. And you, Jason, will have different bodyguards every day. One in the morning after breakfast, and another starting in the afternoon after lunch. So you two will still eat together and still be together after dinner."
Unit 4 snapped a salute, accepting the new orders without hesitation.
"Thank you for your understanding, Unit 4," Gangreen said.
"So I guess he's okay with it," Jason said, looking at Unit 4. "I'm okay too."
Unit 4 leaned down, gave Jason a tender kiss, then rubbed his scruffy jaw on him again, a silent reassurance of his affection despite the change.
---
Igor and Agent Pawn Black were still busily working on transforming the metallic tomatoes when Professor Gangreen announced, "Okay, dinner time, boys."
"But we still have more to go, Professor," Igor protested, gesturing at the remaining tomatoes.
"It's okay, Igor, you can get them done tomorrow," Gangreen replied easily. He then turned to Pawn Black. "Agent, will you be joining us for dinner?"
"I'm afraid not, Dr. Gangreen," Agent Pawn Black responded. "I will stay behind and finish the rest of the transformations. Agent Pawn White will join you for dinner tonight."
"Very well then, keep up the good work," Gangreen said, before leaving the lab, followed by Igor, and Unit 4 who was carrying Jason in his arm.
Spooky Dinner in the Mess Hall
The underground mess hall tonight was decorated with a spooky theme. Artificial spiderwebs draped from the ceiling, torn curtains fluttered mysteriously, and candles flickered, casting dancing shadows. The air was filled with a creepy sound of wind, creaking floors, wolf howls, and owl hoots. Despite the atmosphere, there were no pumpkins or jack-o'-lanterns, as it wasn't Halloween yet. Mood lights bathed the walls in shifting shades of green and purple, enhancing the mysterious ambiance.
Walter guided the four of them—Gangreen, Igor, Unit 4, and Jason—to their usual seats. Soon after, Agent Pawn White arrived, his silver hair gleaming under the dim lighting.
"Nice for you to join us, Agent," Gangreen greeted him.
"Thank you, Dr. Gangreen," Agent Pawn White replied smoothly. "It is my pleasure to join you for this meal."
Walter began placing sparkling water and other drinks on the table: wine for Gangreen and Pawn White, a large beer for Unit 4, a Coke for Igor, and a vibrant blue soda for Jason. He then brought out baskets of warm bread, accompanied by butter, a variety of jams, and even luxurious caviar and foie gras. The first course was a rich, creamy chowder.
Tonight's main course was a hearty roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, the comforting aroma filling the air.
---
As they continued to enjoy their dinner, a spooky ambiance filled the mess hall.
"Hey kid," Igor leaned over, a mischievous glint in his eye, "you see any changes in your boyfriend?" Jason, already used to Igor calling Unit 4 his boyfriend, didn't bother to protest.
"No, why?" Jason asked, looking up from his plate.
"I gave the leftover stuff from the exploded tomato to Barry, so he could put it into the Big Guy's food tonight," Igor explained with a smirk. "So, you sure, nothing?"
Jason looked at Unit 4, then gently put down his fork and knife. He leaned over towards the huge muscular soldier sitting next to him. Unit 4 stopped eating, looking down at what Jason was doing with an unreadable expression. Jason, with surprising confidence, pulled Unit 4's khaki briefs open and slipped his hand inside.
Unit 4 let out a deep groan.
"Hey kid, really?" Igor complained, "Do you have to do this at the table?"
Jason's hand reached deeper, feeling the soldier's hefty testicles. Unit 4 grunted, his powerful body shivering uncontrollably at the touch.
"Eww," Igor cringed.
Jason then pulled his hand out, satisfied. "Everything's the same down there," he declared, even bringing his hand up to smell it.
"Oh, gross!" Igor exclaimed. "You better wash your hand, kid!" Walter, ever efficient, quickly handed a warm towel to Jason.
Unit 4 leaned over and kissed Jason gently as the boy cleaned his hand with the warm towel. The soldier then returned to eating his food, his expression unchanged.
---
"Is it always like this at the table?" Agent Pawn White asked, his expression revealing a hint of surprise as Jason cleaned his hand.
"No," Igor replied with a smirk, "sometimes it's even worse. You wouldn't believe what that big guy can do with those military hand signals." He winked, leaving the new agent to wonder.
As they finished the savory courses, Walter arrived with dessert: warm Pastel de nata accompany with honey drizzled over creamy vanilla ice cream, a sweet end to a very eventful day.
