Hello everyone!
I’d like to share some insights about my latest animation—Lara Croft.
This project was a big challenge for me because I stepped outside my comfort zone. Normally, I focus on scenes where the character is trapped in a tentacle pit, letting the tentacles do their thing. But this time, I pushed myself to create something more cinematic, refining my pacing and framing to enhance the storytelling.
I’ve never been a huge fan of cinematic NSFW animations—I usually just skip straight to the action. So, while animating this, I made sure not to drag the buildup too long. I didn’t want to waste time on moments most viewers would skip, but I still aimed to strike a balance between atmosphere and excitement.
I started working on this project three days after posting my Psylocke animation. That short break gave me time to refresh my mind and gather new ideas, which ultimately led me to dive into animating Lara.
I've always wanted to work on her, but commissions kept me busy. So, when I finally had the time to fully explore and showcase my creativity, I poured everything into this project—and it paid off.
Not only that, but I also learned something new: implementing my new and improved x-ray view. I was hesitant to revisit this technique, but I’m glad I did. It was the perfect time to refine it while my passion was still strong. Learning feels much more natural when you're genuinely in the mood, and the results speak for themselves.
In the end, this animation became one of my proudest works, and the feedback has been amazing. People who purchased it praised the improved x-ray effects, inner voice integration, and environment design. With sales going strong, a Lara Part 2 is definitely possible.
