This is so painfully beautiful and such a deep display of emotion on both their parts. For Shouyou to admit that bone deep fear of Tobio rejecting him for not being good enough, or strong enough, or having flaws like a broken leg and not being able to play volleyball and Tobio’s immediate reaction to be instant panic screaming at him that he could lose both legs and he would be more than enough is just heartbreaking and perfect. Their eyes here - I can’t get over the outpouring of emotion in their eyes, from Shouyou’s contentment at Tobio’s smell to the instant shift to panic and fear and then despair and then surprise. And Tobio had these soft, gentle eyes in the beginning and then shock at Shouyou’s words and fear and anger and just genuine anguish that he would ever think he wasn’t good enough. Your ability to put so much feeling into just a few pages is astounding. 😍
