How to fill your print bed rapidly and find print settings
🕑 Added 2023-02-13 08:56:08 +0000 UTCI get asked how to go about this more frequently. This is a short instructional video about how you can use your slicer to pattern my tack links and some advice on print settings.
Printer: I use two Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k with upgraded Z-arm/axis. My steppers use a decoupler. Further I use a Sonic Mini 8k.
I've installed a Nintendo DS glass screen protector taped down with Kapton tape in order to survive failed FEP sheets during prototyping.
I change resin brands depending on availability and supply. My favorite is Reprapper 203 in grey.
This are my print settings for my sm4k:
Your setting will differ from mine.
A flexible build plate will help your machine to hold the bed level. There is no reason to ever remove the print bed itself, only the plate.
Dial in your exposure well! Track links don't like over- nor under-exposure! The exposure test I used here can be found HERE
Click on "Assets", I use the "ResinXP2-ValidationMatrix_200701.stl"
Wash the parts well! Residue will clog up holes and will add to the diameter of pins. Wire-hinge variants are the most forgiving. I use both an Anycubic Wash-Cure 1 and Version 2. The first is set for pre-cleaning the 2nd is set up for a final cleaning operation. One machine will be enough for a home - environment; Lazy me skips often times the 2nd pass.
