In the comic it’s still a marriage. The writer is in charge of the show too so has wanted to fix some dated elements from when he wrote the comic in the early 00s. Mostly stuff that seems sexist. Like a ditzy queen now being the actual ruler while her husband was off aquamanning and subverting the marriage plot

the only reason ppl hate amber is because of how she broke up with mark last season. season 2 completely fixed amber’s character but a lot of ppl are immature n can’t let go of the past so yea there are still amber haters unfortunately
