Basically RpgmakerMV games, that are developed and 'deployed' on windows, might not run on mac, especially not the later versions. (From what I've read)
There is a way you can run it on mac by using a local server, but it will require a little bit of effort on your part:

Or alternately you just install MacOS in a virtual machine, if just a building environment is required. ;-) Or you send Gotcha Gotcha Games an email every day until they fix such an obvious simple bug (I'd suspect something really stupid on the level of file names having different capitalisation). :-P Or you tell MacOS users to install a Windows VM. Muahaha So many possibilities. ;-)
